Unique experience-good company - It was a good experience overall. The visibility wasn't perfect, but you can't really control the moonlight. The tarp helped. The guides were very knowledgeable and were a fun crew. Kayaking at night was a unique experience.

Pleasant evening experience in Fajardo - We had a great experience! A relaxing 2 hours kayaking through some mangroves as evening approached to a lagoon to see the bioluminescence. The guides we had did a great job - they gave information about the stars, the ecosystem, the bioluminescence and more - was a good time! Also really appreciated that they had a tarp so we could still see the glow in the water even though it was a bright moon/ we wouldn’t have seen much otherwise. All the guides did a great job - Yadiel (gave great instructions), Adrian (shared about the mangroves and kindly took our photos!), Javier (gave detailed info about the bioluminescence), and Catalina (welcoming presence at check-in) - all worked together well as a team. Also notable - they were very patient with a couple that showed up late and didn’t come with any experience or prepared, and they helped them to enjoy the event with everyone else. Last thing - make sure you read the details - you get wet! You will get wet at the very least for your bottom half to walk out to the kayaks, so wear clothing you are ok with being wet, including shoes. (Or at least bring a change of clothes). I didn’t read super carefully but thankfully I was already wearing stuff that was quick dry - some people were not so fortunate!

Great guides, awesome nature - Our guides were great and even though the bioluminescence wasn't super visible, they made sure we still got a glimpse. This company was knowledgeable and very helpful, getting us to the lagoon earlier than other tours to get a good spot. Watch out for the bats!

Wonderful and Unique - This was a totally unique experience! I’ve done a fair amount of kayaking in my life, but on a VERY dark night, through a winding canal, virtually no visibility, hearing fish jump, maneuvering around mangroves, wow it was exciting. And it managed to rain (warm rain!), which apparently stirs up the plankton. In any case, we were able to see the bioluminescence very well ; so cool to see the sparkles off the paddles. Our guides were very helpful, and funny, and the naturalist informative. We passed around a comb jelly too . . . This tour comes under the category of Do Not Miss activities for a PR vacation!

Sparklers in the Lagoon - What a magical, beautiful, happy time. The guides were very professional, entertaining, and attentive. We did a little planet study with the aid of a laser pointer that went all the way up. We saw sparkly water and a sparkly jelly creature. Bats! Jumping fish!

We had an amazing time. Super safe for all ages!! - My sister and I had a difficult time kayaking, but Javier helped us so much; he made sure we had an amazing and safe experience. He even attached our kayak to his to help us along the way!!! All the guides were also incredible. About eight tour guides joined the tour to ensure everyone's safety.

Would do this again - Fun experience and would recommend. Eli, Javier, Catalina and all the rest of the staff were friendly, excited, safety oriented and knowleable about the area and how to use all equipment. I would do again. The only tiny negative and this is not really the fault of the company, but some of the other kayakers were such novices that they made the experience less than it could have been because they did not follow the directions of the staff.

Really cool, but a little “kay-otic” - It was a fun experience. Be prepared for a lot of people (20 kayaks/group, 5 groups at a time!). It’s a little kay-otic (get it?😂) and you can’t always hear what the tour guides are teaching you. The bioluminescence-part was really cool and unique.

Kayaking Fun with Sparks of Luminescence - The bioluminescence was very weak, barely discernable, which is what can happen I am told. Although that was disappointing, it really didn’t seem to damper spirits and rest of the experience was quite pleasant. The kayaks are doubles and after a short introduction to kayaking, we waded out to the kayaks and started rowing in a single file line up the stream to the lagoon. The guides were nice, pointing out various natural features such as herons and termite nests. Sadly, there are no more manatees in the area. When we got to the lagoon, they pointed out stars and constellations, and let us paddle around by ourselves for a few minutes. To attempt to see the bioluminescence, they used a tarp to cover us up (there was more light pollution than ideal) and then told us to vigorously hit the water. Sure enough, there were a few sparks. After paddling back we had dinner from an adjacent small food stand; this was quite good and reasonably priced. Two items for consideration. First, the booking mentioned the tour was led by a marine biologist, which is why we picked this tour; none of us met such a person on this tour. Second, it was difficult to hear what the guides were saying. I was right next to the lead guide so heard most of it but others in our group heard nothing. Perhaps having a small speaker in each boat would help with this. Overall, it was a fun activity to do together and I think we all came away having enjoyed a pleasant evening among nature.
