Departing from Cairns, the 80-foot catamaran delivers you to two unique spots on the reef where you can opt to dive or snorkel amongst vibrant fish, turtles, and a spectacular collection of corals. The friendly staff, having 27 distinct outer Great Barrier Reef locations at their disposal, will choose the best location considering the weather to ensure you have the most rewarding experience aboard a sumptuous, purpose-built catamaran!
- Please bring swim wear, towels, sunscreen, sunglasses and a hat!
- Check in will commence at 7.00am at the Reef Fleet Terminal and closes at 7:45am for an 8am departure
- Please note: prescription medication and certain medical conditions, both past and present, will preclude you from scuba diving in Queensland without a Queensland Dive Medical. These conditions include, but are not limited to, asthma, diabetes, epilepsy, heart problems, lung problems, ear problems, high or low blood pressure, current cough, cold or flu, chronic sinus conditions, fainting or seizures, plus the use of prescription medication including those used for the treatment of anxiety and depression. - The minimum age for scuba diving in Queensland is 12 years
- Scuba Diving in Queensland; prescription medication and certain medical conditions, both past and present, will preclude you from scuba diving in Queensland without a Queensland Dive Medical. Amazing experience - Amazing experience of the Great Barrier Reef!
Absolutely excellent service from the crew members. Especially Phoebe who was an absolute legend ❤️

Fantastic time on the Great Barrier Reef - We had a perfect day on the reef with Passions. Everything was easy, from check in to boarding to getting the snorkel gear etc etc. It was very nice that lunch was provided. There were 4-5 salads, one vegetarian main (chickpea and tofu curry and rice) and one meat main (pasta with sausage and red sauce). Also buns and meat and cheese to make sandwiches. Tea and coffee and cookies and fruit on both the ride out and the ride back. Alcohol and other drinks for purchase. Two great locations to snorkel at - one flatter and wider reef area (saw a ray and a turtle at that one), and one where the wall of reef must be 75ft tall! Very cool.
Staff were amazing, boat was very comfortable, they had prescription snorkel masks so I could actually see things. Loved the marine biologist talk on the ride home. And the magic tricks from Simon!!
I actually feel that the description on here undersells the experience with Passions - it was everything listed and more! Would highly recommend.

First dive amazing dive - We were eight and we were all first time
divers and limited experience snorkelers, and I don’t think we could have found a better crew to take us out there… they were so detailed and helped at every step of the way, including when you’re putting on all your gear, step-by-step and removing the gear and obviously in the water. They literally held hands to make sure that you are safe. We have a six year old and I do not think we could have found a better crew to make his experience equally enjoyable for him. We were broken into small groups. Andi was with us and she was amazing and probably the most helpful. Corinda was with the other part of the group and Ben came with us in the second half and they both were amazing.. l obviously there were other crew members whose names I do not know, but they were all super helpful at various times of the cruise and I cannot imagine any crew that is more safety oriented because they went on and on about making sure that everybody is safe and I was amazed with the way they counted people and how strict they were to make sure nobody went missing or overboard. Now I would say that we could have gone a little deeper but I think because we were first timers they were super cautious and that’s OK because the snorkeling part is actually something that gives you a lot more. View diving is more of an experience.

Great tour!! - We had a great experience on this tour. The staff were friendly, no one felt sea sick (like on other tours), the food was good and we went to two really good / different sites. We were lucky enough to see a group of hump head parrot fish, a turtle, a sting ray, a Moray eel, giant puffer fish and beautiful corals!

Amazing crew created an even more amazing adventure - This boat and crew was outstanding. They took us to two amazing spots to snorkel and my son got to learn scuba. Every aspect of the trip was to perfection. We had a wonderful guide named Phoebe who had great energy snd taught us all about the reef and wildlife. She would dive down and point out fish and coral species. Our favorite thing was when she would find a giant clam and get it to snap shut. This is the only group you should book with.

Wonderful experience worth every penny - We are a family of 5. The trip was a truly wonderful experience. We have all felt very well looked after. The food was very tasty and creative with plenty of drinks and snacks served throughout the trip. The staff were super friendly and experienced. Thumbs up all around 👍

Fish, friends, and Fabulous Service - The staff were so friendly and caring for tourist comfort and safety. They care as much about their passengers as they do about the health of the Great Barrier Reef.
This tour was a highlight of our Cairns experience

Must Do in cairns, with less people - This was a very organized tour to see the beautiful, great barrier reef. The staff were very friendly unhelpful. The food and snack that they provided on the ship was very good.
however, I feel like they had signed up way too many people for this excursion. Every time we got to our destination to go explore the great barrier reef they were so many people with their flippers and snorkels. It was pretty tough not to get hit on your head with someone else’s flipper.
I’m not sure how many people they had on board but it was way too many. My expectation was about 40 people were in reality. I think it was probably around 100.

reef fun - overall, it was a great experience. the reef was beautiful and the staff were very professional. The only reason i did not give it a 5 star rating is our trip was cut short due a medical emergency of someone on board so we only visited one reef site instead of two. We still had fun. Highly recommended.
