Amazing, start your trip here! - Tip: start your visit to Cairns from here! This is more than just an aquarium, you get so much information about the reef and the rainforest, so it is better to come here first and learn and then go to Daintree rainforest and the great barrier reef. The whole place is just amazing! Also definitely book the turtle hospital tour. The money goes towards helping the turtles so it is a good cause, and it is amazing to see the turtles so close! We took the turtle hospital tour with Genevieve, and she was amazing. You could tell she loves her job, she was so passionate about the turtles and educating people about them. I really feel that everyone visiting Cairns should go on the turtle hospital tour.

Fabulous aquarium - This is an absolutely fabulous aquarium and we have been to quite a few! We arrived for opening at 9.30am and spent around 2 hours walking through. We listened to one of the talks but for the rest of the time the signs provide plenty of interesting information. If you wanted to, the talks are scheduled at sensible times and in the correct order that you could listen to them all. The children loved it, a few interactive exhibits - all of which actually worked! And a range of tanks from tiny seahorses to enormous deep reef, predator and freshwater tanks. We went out for lunch then came back for our turtle tour. This was a 15 minute or so presentation about sea turtles and the rescue and rehabilitation work they do. Then we got to feed some lettuce to one of the resident green turtles and see all three of the turtles that they currently have. The guide was very knowledgeable and helpful.

Save the Turtles for the Future - We thoroughly enjoyed the whole Aquarium and were especially surprised with the Turtle Hospital. It was so sad to see what us humans are doing to these precious creatures. They are so beautiful. A big thankyou to all the volunteers. Please donate to the Turtle Hospital so our children and their children can forever see these creatures in our environment. Remember turtles live for a long long time!!!

Who knew turtles were ticklish? - Educational, beautiful and a reminder of how amazing nature is. At times you thought you were under the water with these amazing creatures. Could have easily spent the whole day there. Huge 👍 to the volunteers rescuing over 600 turtles since inception. These guys are legends, deserving of every award imaginable. (Dundee restaurant on the other hand had decent food but they need a fast food counter for those taking a brief break from the tour.)

Cairns Aquarium and Sea turtle Tour, amazing well worth it. - The Aquarium was amazing with plenty of information and such a lot to see. You can wander around and go and have lunch and return to have another look on the same day, for the one admission price. I did the Sea Turtle tour which was amazing and very informative, a lifelong dream to see the turtles up close, the money you pay for the tour goes to helping the turtles. I would recommend the Cairns Aquarium, the staff are very friendly

Highly recommend - A beautiful experience. Really enjoyed the talks provided by the staff as we progressed through the aquarium, and seeing the divers feeding the residents. So thankful that the turtle hospital exists and for the wonderful people that provide the care and support.

Great seeing turtles up close - The presentation at the turtle hospital (more of a room than a hospital) was informative and it was incredible to see a turtle from up close. The aquarium experience was slightly underwhelming, possibly because we have visited multiple aquariums from across the world. Would recommend as an activity to some time in Cairns.
