- Kuranda Scenic Railway - Embark on a 37-kilometre rail adventure aboard vintage carriages through the Barron Gorge National Park, a World Heritage-listed rainforest in The Wet Tropics, traveling from Cairns to the rainforest village of Kuranda. The track ascends 327 metres above sea level, featuring a steepest gradient of 1:50, crossing 55 bridges, navigating 98 curves, and passing through 15 hand-carved tunnels. Each carriage is equipped with audio commentary providing historical insights throughout the journey. A complimentary trip guide, available in 11 languages, includes a journey map that corresponds with the onboard commentary. Onboard Guest Services Attendants are available to answer questions and assist during the trip. There is a 10-minute photo stop at Barron Falls Lookout. Water coolers are available in each carriage. While not all seats have a window, all seats offer access to scenic views.
- Skyrail Rainforest Cableway - Experience a unique view of this ancient landscape with unparalleled panoramic vistas of Barron Gorge and Australia’s Wet Tropics World Heritage Area. Glide just above the untouched jungle canopy between Smithfield (Cairns) and Kuranda, and take the opportunity to descend and explore the rainforest up close at Red Peak and Barron Falls.

Your day will start with pick up from Your hotel and ride a short distance (20 min) to Smithfield Skyrail station. Experience the Skyrail to Kuranda and our guide will meet you again in Kuranda, and show you around the village, you can enjoy your free time in Kuranda markets, butterfly scenery, and wildlife zoo. OR you can pay extra for the RFS Army duck tour as well. In the afternoon, taking the oldest railway travel back from Kuranda to Cairns. Our guide will prepare the admission for you and the information you need for the ride. Last, we will pick you up from the Cairns railway station and drop you back at your hotel.

Breath taking Rainforest sights - The army duck tour was exceptionally well guided and informative. Breath taking views. The skyrail was very unique and Barron falls stunning. The aerial view complemented the land tour. Together we could appreciate Nature at its best.

Great tour from Cairns to Kuranda - It was only me and my husband. Great experience completely followed our preferences, booked the tickets to the parks, the rail and the train. It was just awesome!

Rainforest station review - Great time Chris on the army duck had a great sense of humour and very knowledgeable. BBQ lunch was really nice. Croc feeding show was really good and informative. Tip if you go to butterfly world you can get combo vouchers which make it much cheaper. Was great value for money anyway.

Kuranda’s rainforest, train & Skyway tram - This tour had a full day of activity. From the moment you board the train to riding in an amphibious vehicle there was always something to do. Watching the local natives dance and having them teach us to throw a bomerang was informative. The skyrail ride over the rain forest was phenomenal. You could see for miles.
