Facinating local history - This was a fantastic way to showcase our city's history to visiting friends and learn so much fascinating history at the same time. It was grear to learn the stories behind so many familiar local names. Definitely a place locals should spend some time exploring. The volunteers are so friendly and I really appreciated being shown the interactive map display of photos from then and now.

Guided Museum Tour with 2 grandchildren - My 2 grandsons and l took the guided tour this morning. What a delightful way to spend a few hours with 2 inquisitive boys! Really interesting historical information given in a very accessible and friendly way. My grandsons, 9 and 7 year olds really enjoyed the morning and learnt a lot. Thank you for a reasonably priced educational opportunity! Well done Cairns Museum!

Informative and friendly - We went into the museum and were greeted by friendly faces, all volunteers. On starting the visit we were offered a highlights tour of the first gallery by a very knowledgeable lady. She bought the exhibition to life. On moving downstairs we were passed to a young man who gave us the next highlights tour he was entetaining and candid! The museum isn't huge but well exhibited, we had an enjoyable couple of hours. Thank you to the lovely staff of volunteers.
