- Kuranda Scenic Railway - Board the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway in Cairns for a spectacular narrated journey. Travel through World Heritage listed rainforest through 15 tunnels and over 37 bridges as you make your way to Kuranda Station. Includes a stop at the spectacular Barron Gorge to view the waterall.
- Kuranda - Upon arriving in Kuranda, its a short walk to the nearby village where you will have over 2 hours to explore, visit the markets and zoos, shop and eat on your own.
- Skyrail Rainforest Cableway - Board a gondola, glide over the rainforests from Kuranda to the coast with two amazing stops on the way at the spectacular Barron Gorge and Red Peak rainforest boardwalk.

Additional Information
This small-group tour includes a short transfer from your hotel to Cairns Railway Station where you will board the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway for an amazing journey over 37 bridges & through 15 tunnels passing the rainforest to the charming village of Kuranda. It’s a short walk to the village where you will have over 2 hours to dine, explore, shop or perhaps an exciting encounter with wildlife at one of the zoos (fees apply) Later, make your way to Skyrail Rainforest Cableway where you will glide over the rainforest canopy as you make your way to the Barron Falls.
View the magnificent Barron Gorge, the falls & visit the Rainforest Interpretive Centre before re-boarding the cableway and making your way to Red Peak Station. From there explore the World Heritage listed rainforest before re-boarding and completing your journey at Smithfield where you will be met and transferred to your accomodation. (please note the itinerary for this tour was reversed January 2022)

It was reassuring and kind.
It was so easy to go all the way to the nearest hotel to pick me up.
They will take you back to where you left off!
The price is also worth it!

Would highly recommend - This tour is 100% worth the money. Michael was amazing. He offered a seamless service making this tour very relaxing and stress free. The scenery is absolutely amazing, even on a day when the weather wasn’t the best. This is definitely a bucket list tour.

Great views. - We had an amazing day trip to see Kuranda village. Both the scenic rail and Skyrail trips by rail and gondolas gave us great views from different platforms. Enjoyed the Baron waterfall stop. While in the village we visited the birds and the wildlife. The only downside was we were given only about 3 hours and had to rush to see the markets and other attractions.

Don’t Miss the Train! - Amazing historical town, fun train ride and an amazing view from the tram. Our host Michael was first class.. on time and very knowledgeable. My father could not make the trip and he went out of his way to get us a refund. Highly recommend this tour.

Excursion to Kuranda - This was a great tour - pick up at the hotel, transfer to station to catch Kuranda train. Michael clearly explained what was involved in the train trip, how to return by the Scenic Sky Rail and what to expect in Kuranda. Also he provided basic commentary on some of Cairns’ attractions we passed on way to the station and on return to our hotels in Cairns after the 7.5 km skyway trip. All done smoothly and efficiently.

Best day ever in Cairns - What a great day!! The train took us up the mountain through the rainforest while a narration played on how it was built. It's history is amazing. We visited the koala sanctuary where we were up close to lots of different animals without a ton of walking. We even fed the kangaroos! After eating and souvenir shopping, the Sky Rail gave gorgeous views on the way down. Our guide, Michael was kind enough to pick up and drop off at our Air BNB and told us all about the area as he drove. A perfect way to experience Cairns.

A bust - Kind of a bust. The train was delayed due to weather and we barely had time to see anything. They tried to delay the return trip but honestly we had no time at all.
