  • Babinda Boulders - Our first stop for the day is Babinda Boulders, this is a very well-known location as it is a significant place for the local indigenous people. During the 45 minutes here we will show you around the amazing site and tell you the history and legends of the boulders - there are a few spooky stories! This is considered one of Cairns’ must visit spots especially during times of heavy rain the strength of the water passing through the boulders has to be seen to be believed!
  • Josephine Falls - Next stop (and our first swimming spot!) is Josephine Falls! A short walk on an even pathway will bring you through the rainforest to the crystal clear waters and natural rock slide of the falls! Slip and slide down, cool off in the blue water or take advantage of the stunning scenery and take a few photos.
  • Millaa Millaa Falls - Next we will head up the Palmerston Highway onto the Atherton Tablelands to the most photographed waterfall in Australia! Millaa Millaa Falls are known worldwide for it’s inclusion in the Herbal Essences and Qantas adverts. Here is the place to try the iconic hair flick or get a natural massage from the water cascading over the falls. World Famous and a must see on the Tablelands!
  • Malanda - A well earned rest is coming up next, with lunch at Top Rail. Lunch is included but you can also purchase additional drinks if you like and take a break from the swimming.
  • Curtain Fig National Park - See this magnificent Strangler Fig Tree and perhaps be lucky enough to see the eluisive Lumholtz Tree Kangaroo
  • Lake Eacham Crater Lakes National Park - Our last swim for the day is at Lake Eacham. Lake Eacham is a beautiful volcanic Crater Lake. Best tour in Cairns! - You can’t go to Cairns and not do this tour. We had the BEST time! Big shout out to our guides Esta and Elliot, who made the day so much fun! We learnt so much about the Atherton Tablelands, the waterfalls and the wildlife. Josephine Falls was a particular highlight!

Don’t miss this great tour! - We had a great time on our Atherton Tablelands and waterfalls tour, and we’d like to give a big shout out to Kyla, our wonderful guide. Kyla was fabulous—so personable and easy to listen to, with great positive energy. I learned a ton from her about the plants, animals and history of all of the amazing sites we visited. Kyla prioritized safety while never being overbearing, looked after everyone while also giving us time and space to explore a bit on our own, and added an extra stop that ended up being one of the highlights of the trip —and we saw a platypus! By the way, all of us at our table at lunch had read the reviews complaining about the lasagna, and we all felt it was fine. I would back up Kyla’s suggestion for adding hot chocolate to the coffee and tea hot drink offerings—that is something our snorkel boat supplied. All in all, it was a great day and we are glad we did not miss this tour!

Waterfalls and Rainforest Tour - A beautiful day exploring four waterfalls in the Atherton Tablelands and surrounds. Opportunity to swim at each waterfall. Some of the road is very windy but guide was a safe driver and was good natured and knowledgeable. Babinda Falls was spectacular from the lookout about 700 metres along a track.

Lovely day - Lots of beautiful things to see. We stopped at four lovely swimming spots with beautiful refreshing water. Guide was very accommodating and knowledgeable. Just a heads up that the waterslide apparently isn't always open and there are lots of windy roads for those who gets travel sick. Lots of little turtles to see and visited lots of cute little towns.

No need for an organised tour - ALL the National Park waterfalls are great, plus they have rainforest walks of varying difficulty. If you have a car, they are all easily accessible. My favourite, Emerald Falls is the only one that is on a gravel road, but no problem with a normal car, if you drive slowly on the corrugations
