Skyrail Rainforest Cableway - Board a gondola, glide over the rainforests to Kuranda with two amazing stops on the way at Red Peak rainforest boardwalk and the spectacular Barron Gorge.
Kuranda - Upon arriving in Kuranda, a short stroll takes you to the nearby village where you will have about 2.5 hours to explore, shop and eat on your own.
Kuranda Scenic Railway Freshwater Station - Board the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway for a narrated journey. Travel through World Heritage Listed rainforest through 15 tunnels and over 37 bridges on your way to Freshwater Station. Includes a stop at the spectacular Barron Gorge to view the waterall.

Additional Information

This small-group tour includes transfers from your hotel to the amazing Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. There, you will glide over the world’s oldest rainforest as you ascend to the magnificent Red Peak boardwalk and its attractions. From there, journey to the spectacular Barron Gorge and falls as you make your way to the charming rainforest village of Kuranda. Once there, choose from a vast array of activities including local markets, arts and crafts, enjoy an encounter with animals or butterflies (fees apply), and enjoy a relaxing lunch (own expense) before joining the historic Kuranda Scenic Railway on a spectacular journey through 15 tunnels and over 37 bridges, enjoying magnificent views as you make your way to Freshwater Station to be met and transferred to your hotel, arriving about 4pm.

Great day out . Well worth the money. - Found the tour to be great. My wife and I had a great time. The views from the skyrail was amazing and the train trip back was full of interesting information and lots of great act. Michael was awesome and he communicated all the details we needed and was always providing us information on the trip to the Skyrail as well as back when he picked us up from the train.

Cairns Custom Tours made everything easy. - Michael from Cairns Custom Tours made the whole day more enjoyable. He made sure everything ran smoothly from pickup and drop off at our hotel to ensuring we had the tickets needed for Skyrail and train. We had the added bonus of an interesting commentary en route. Kuranda is a top tourist destination for a reason but allow enough time. We got off at the first Skyrail station but the short boardwalk is not worth the extended wait to reboard. We skipped the next stop as the train stops at Barron Falls on the return trip anyway.

Great views, nice little town - Michael was very punctual and very knowledgeable about where we were going and what we were doing, everything was sorted out when we got on the bus which was very good, loved Kuranda and everything thing in it, especially the butterfly sanctuary and Barron falls view

Amazing - This trip was absolutely amazing and such great value for money. Michael ensured that the trip ran seamlessly. He provided us with all the tickets we needed and ran an efficient pick up and drop off service to and from my hotel. I couldn’t recommend this tour any more!!! Definitely a bucket list trip

Great sights and views - Great experience. Rain forest is amazing and we really enjoyed the sky lift and the train ride. Lot of interesting sights and the water falls were incredible. Our tour guide, Michael, was very informative. He gave us a lot of knowledge of the area. He was very accommodating and punctual which made for a very pleasant trip.

Magnificent Kuranda - This tour was excellent. We loved the skyway with excellent scenery and also the railway which is a magnificent feat of engineering. The views were spectacular. Michael did a great job of narrating and transporting us. He has a lot of knowledge of the area and provided a lot of interesting facts. We also really enjoyed the butterfly exhibit which is a beautiful place to visit.

Miracles do happen in midst of loss - Celebrating our 30th anniversary, 1st time in Cairns. While taking beautiful photos of the scenery,suddenly the holder on my mobile broke and my mobile dropped from my hand. I was shocked and devastated coz had thousands of photos & videos of family and work and totally no back up. I was in shock and devastated. Prayed and cried so much only a miracle can help find my mobile. Staff super helpful especially the person who found my mobile in the rainforest. Thank God and Kuranda Team
