Kom Ombo

Temple of Kom Ombo - The Temple of Kom Ombo is a distinctive double temple situated in the town of Kom Ombo in the Aswan Governorate of Upper Egypt. It was built during the Ptolemaic dynasty, specifically between 180 and 47 BC. Subsequent enhancements were made to the temple complex during the Roman period, adding to its historical and architectural significance.

Edfu

Temple of Horus - Several inscriptions discovered at the temple of Edfu recount the narrative referred to as the “Sacred Drama.” This tale depicts the rivalry between Horus, the deity associated with the lush and fertile lands near the Nile River, and Seth, the deity linked with the arid desert regions surrounding the Nile. The story revolves around Horus’s quest for vengeance following the murder of his father, Osiris.
