Cairo - Arrive at Cairo International Airport, where our representative will meet and assist you. Enjoy free time in the evening. Overnight stay in Cairo.
Giza Pyramids, Saqqara Pyramid, and Dahshour Pyramids.
Pyramids of Giza - Start your day with breakfast at the hotel. Our Egyptologist will meet you and take you on a private tour of Cairo. First, visit the Giza area to see the Giza Pyramids (Cheops, Chephren, and Mykerinus). The Great Pyramid is one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Nearby, you’ll also see the Sphinx and the Dream Stela. The Sphinx, a majestic statue with a lion’s body and a human head, was carved into a hill and served as a guardian of Egypt’s northwestern gateway.
Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Visit the Step Pyramid at Saqqara, considered the world’s oldest and most significant stone structure, built during the Third Dynasty for King Djoser.
Pyramids of Dahshour - King Senefru constructed another pyramid 2 km away from his first. This time, the architect corrected previous mistakes, starting the pyramid at a 43-degree angle to avoid any inclination like the Bent Pyramid. This was the first perfect pyramid with straight sides, setting the standard for future pyramids, including those at Giza. Known as the Red Pyramid of Dahshour, its inner burial chamber is made of rosette limestone. The northern side has an entrance leading to an inner chamber connected to a second chamber by a passageway. At the end of the second chamber, a passage leads to the burial chamber, which has three small chambers with high walls.

National Museum of Egyptian Civilization (NEMC) - After this visit, move to the National Museum of Egyptian Civilization to explore artifacts representing Egypt’s civilization through different eras.
Alexandria (Catacombs, Pompey’s Pillar, and Fort Qaitbey)
Pompey’s Pillar - Your Egyptologist Tour Guide from Book Egypt Tours will pick you up from your hotel at 7:00 AM in either Cairo or Giza. Travel to Alexandria and start your tour by visiting Pompey’s Pillar, a massive 30-meter column that stands over the ruins of the ancient settlement of Rhakotis, the original town from which Alexandria grew. The column, made from red Aswan granite, is capped by a fine Corinthian capital and rises from the sparse ruins of the Temple of Serapeum.
Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - Proceed to the Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa, which consist of three floors and include the Triclinium, where relatives would sit on stone benches to feast the dead. The catacombs feature reliefs of bearded serpents and 2nd-century AD statues of the gods Sobek and Anubis wearing Roman armor.
Bibliotheca Alexandrina - Visit the exterior of the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and take photos. Afterward, enjoy a lunch meal.
Fort Qaitbey - The last stop is Qaitbey Citadel, built on the site of the ancient Lighthouse of Alexandria. The citadel was constructed to defend against attacks from the Mediterranean Sea. After this wonderful day tour, return to Cairo and be dropped off at your hotel.
