Pyramids of Giza - The Giza pyramid complex, also known as the Giza necropolis, is home to the Great Pyramid, the Pyramid of Khafre, and the Pyramid of Menkaure, along with their associated complexes and the Great Sphinx. These structures were built during the Fourth Dynasty of the Old Kingdom of ancient Egypt, around 2600 to 2500 BC. The site also includes several temples, cemeteries, and the remains of a workers’ village.

Memphis and Sakkara - Memphis, or Men-nefer, was the ancient capital of Inebu-hedj, the first nome of Lower Egypt. Its ruins are near the modern village of Mit Rahina in the Badrashin area of Giza, Egypt. The name likely comes from the late Ancient Egyptian name for Memphis, mjt-rhnt, meaning “Road of the Ram-Headed Sphinxes.” Along with the pyramid fields that extend over 30 kilometers on its west, including the famous Pyramids of Giza, Memphis and its Necropolis are listed as a World Heritage Site. The site is open to the public as an open-air museum.

Saqqara - Saqqara is home to the oldest complete stone building complex in history, the Pyramid of Djoser, built during the Third Dynasty. Sixteen other Egyptian kings also built pyramids at Saqqara, which are now in various states of preservation. High officials added private funeral monuments to this necropolis throughout the Pharaonic period. It remained a significant site for non-royal burials and cult ceremonies for over 3000 years, continuing into Ptolemaic and Roman times.

Dahshur - Dahshur, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is located on the Western Desert plateau at the edge of the cultivated plain. Together with the pyramid complexes at Saqqara, Abusir, and Giza to its north, it forms the pyramid fields of the ancient capital city of Memphis. Dahshur is known for several pyramids, particularly Senefru’s Bent Pyramid and the Red Pyramid, which are among the oldest, largest, and best-preserved in Egypt, built between 2613 and 2589 BC.

Bibliotheca Alexandria - The Bibliotheca Alexandrina is a major library and cultural center on the Mediterranean Sea shore in Alexandria, Egypt. It commemorates the ancient Library of Alexandria, once one of the largest libraries in the world, which was lost in antiquity. The idea to revive the old library dates back to 1974, with Alexandria University selecting a plot of land for the new library. Construction began in 1995, and after spending around $220 million, the complex was officially inaugurated on October 16, 2002. In 2009, the library received a donation of 500,000 books from the Bibliothèque nationale de France, making it the sixth-largest Francophone library in the world.

Kayetbai - The Qaitbay Citadel in Alexandria is one of the most important defensive strongholds along the Mediterranean Sea coast, playing a crucial role in the fortification system of Alexandria in the 15th century.

Ancient Roman Amphitheater - The Roman Theater in Alexandria features marble seats for up to 800 spectators, galleries, sections of mosaic flooring, and a pleasure garden surrounded by Roman villas and baths.

Catacombs of Kom el Shoqafa - The Catacombs of Kom El-Shoqafa consist of tombs on three levels and include the Tri-cilium, where relatives would sit on stone benches to feast the dead. The site also features reliefs of bearded serpents and 2nd-century AD statues of Sobek and Anubis wearing Roman armor.

Mosque of Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi - The Abu al-Abbas al-Mursi Mosque in Alexandria is named after the 13th-century mystic Abu’l Abbas al-Mursi, who is buried there along with members of the Ashraf family.
