Incredible first impression! - Muhammad showed us “his” city and it was delicious. We had a days worth of delicious food, informative history, and immersive culture. We witnessed and participated in shopping experience of local markets, enjoyed traditional snacks, local delicacies, and of course desserts. We left with our bellies full and our hearts full of love for a culture we first experienced with Mr. Boogie Woogie himself. It was an incredible day for a culinary culture and history adventure in Cairo and Giza City. I recommend experiencing this tour.

The ultimate food tour! - This was the ultimate food tour!! We visited so many local places and had a wide variety of different Egyptian dishes, all of which were delicious. These were local restaurants, with no tourists in sight, so it felt like a very special and authentic experience. Portions were enormous, you will not walk away hungry on this tour. I highly recommend this tour to any foodie visiting Egypt. Thank you so much to Boogie and Emam!

Food as part of Egypt's culture - I had a fantastic tour today with Boogie Woogie and Ibraheem! I only wish i had two stomachs to sample all the goodies! What I found so amazing, is that it was more than just a food tour. It was about cultural history. 6 stars and BRAVO!!

Cairo food tour extrodinaire - This is a food tour but so much more!!
To start Sugar Queen is a local treasure - she knows all the best local foods - falafel (yum!), koshary (yum!), bucalava (yum!)
But also shares the rich culture and generous nature of the modern Egypt
The last meal is worth the price alone with lunch right in front of the pryamids
I would highly suggest for anymore looking to see "real" Cairo

Thank you Boogie and Haitham - My wife and I had a really good time exploring Cairo and its wonderful cuisine. Boogie, our tour guide, and Haitham, the driver, were excellent, very knowledgeable, and helpful. They took us to different souvenir shops, and the local businesses had items you could purchase, but we never felt forced. It was a very enjoyable experience. I recommend.

If you're looking for a food tour that's a step up from ordinary this is the one!! - Cairo is FULL of places to eat and experience Egyptian culture. If you have limited time this is the one for you. We were paired with Boogie and a really GREAT driver that had already scoped out locations for us to try.
First, go HUNGRY and don't expect to be able to eat everything. You're in for a real treat.
Boogie will try to pace your eating but everything is so delicious you can expect to love it all.
The morning starts with a "breakfast" of treats and eats, you'll get a bit of history in addition to your culinary experience. You'll stop in and sit with locals at a coffee house (yes, you can have tea), see residents doing their local shopping and out door markets, snack at made to order juice smoothies, and do a little shopping. Ask Boogie to take you to a small corner 'spice' store. Yes, it sells spices, but it you have any interest in tea, this is the place for you. EXCELLENT top shelf teas; full leaf, not that broken bits and pieces stuff from the bottom of the box. He can also take you to a local clothing shop that has reasonably priced Egyptian cotton items, yes, it's off the beaten path but so are the prices. It's not the typical stall Tshirt stuff.
There are really two stars in my opinion. Dinner/supper is at a rooftop restaurant with good service, great food, and a Spectacular view of the Great Pyramids and Sphinx . If you can't eat your 'lunch' don't worry, Boogie stop on the way back to your hotel at again, a little, out of the way Koshary (?) shop and they'll pack it for enjoying later. Comment: my husband and I spent 2 weeks in Egypt and I fell in love with Koshary from Alexandria to Aswan, this one was the best. don't let the take out container fool you. it's the yummiest one. And last but not least, (hmm, i think this is the 3rd star) you'll have to frogger across as street but he'll help you; to go to again, another, little out of the way bakery. The outside looks like any other you'll see with loaves of bread, but step INSIDE. AMAZING!!! If you love sweets this is your happy place. They have savories, but I was appreciative of the sweet treats. They have variety packs so you don't have to select just one. We took that back to the hotel as well bc there was no way we could eat it then. Note: I can't eat walnuts, not a problem, they have tons of options.
Bottom line, they've already figured out the places that make local foods that are just a bit elevated from the rest. Don't be fooled by little entrances, go for it, you won't regret it. Ask for Boogie if he's available, he'll ask you a bunch of questions when you meet and tailor the day for you.

Cairo Food Tour - Wonderful food tour; from the bountiful breakfast highlighting Egyptian staples, to the fresh squeezed mango drink and grilled luncheon platter overlooking the pyramids, Boggie thought of everything. My first day in Egypt was stupendous!! Thank you!!!
