• Cairo Citadel - A Sun Pyramids Tours representative will pick you up from your hotel at 10:00 am and take you to the Citadel of Salah El Din in Cairo. Here, you’ll visit the Mohamed Ali Mosque, renowned as one of the most beautiful mosques in Cairo. It’s also known as the Alabaster Mosque due to its outer walls being covered in Alabaster Stone.
• Al-Rifa’i Mosque - Next, you’ll visit the famous Al-Rifa’i Mosque, located opposite the Mosque-Madrassa of Sultan Hassan, which dates back to around 1361. This mosque was designed to complement the older structure and was part of a 19th-century campaign by Egypt’s rulers to link themselves with the glory of earlier Islamic periods and modernize the city.
• Mosque and Madrasa of Sultan Hassan - Visit one of the largest mosques in Cairo, the Sultan Hassan Mosque, also known as Madrasa El Sultan Hassan. Founded by Sultan Hassan in 1356 A.D., the mosque was designed to include schools for all four Sunni schools of thought: Shafi’i, Maliki, Hanafi, and Hanbali.
• Al-Azhar Mosque - Drive to Al-Azhar Mosque in Cairo, also known as the mosque of the most resplendent. Commissioned by Al-Mu’izz li-Din Allah of the Fatimid Caliphate in 970 for the newly established capital city, its name is believed to refer to the Islamic prophet Muhammad’s daughter Fatimah, a revered figure in Islam given the title Az-Zahrā, meaning the shining or resplendent one. It was the first mosque established in Cairo, a city now known as “the City of a Thousand Minarets.”
• Al-Hussein Mosque - Then, move to Khan El Khalili Bazaars, where shops are famous for fine brassware, copper, perfumes, leather, silver, gold, antiques, and more.

End your day tour with a visit to El Hussein Mosque in Cairo, a revered mosque believed to be the burial site of the head of the Prophet Muhammad’s grandson. At the end of the tour, our guide will transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo.
