• Cairo - Upon arrival at Cairo International Airport, our expert tour guide will welcome you with a sign displaying your name. You will then be transported in a private, air-conditioned vehicle to Giza City to begin your Cairo layover tour.

After the tour, you will be taken back to Cairo International Airport for your final departure.

• Giza Plateau - The Cairo layover tour to the Giza Pyramids starts and ends at Cairo Airport, available anytime from 7 am to 1 pm. Once you exit the terminal, our tour guide will greet you with a sign displaying your name and transfer you to Giza City in a private, modern vehicle. En route, the tour guide will provide a comprehensive overview of Egypt’s history.

Upon arrival in Giza City, you will visit the Giza Pyramids, recognized as one of the Seven Wonders of the World. Begin your visit with the Great Pyramid, built by King Cheops, also known as Khufu in Arabic. Our guide will explain the historical significance of ancient Egypt and the reasons behind the construction of the pyramids.

• Great Pyramid of Cheops (Khufu) - Khufu’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, now buried beneath the village of Nazlet el-Samman. Diabase paving and nummulitic limestone walls have been discovered, but the site remains unexcavated. The valley temple was connected to a causeway, largely destroyed during the village’s construction.

• Khafre’s Pyramid - Khafre’s pyramid complex features a valley temple, the Sphinx temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple has yielded several statues of Khafre, discovered in a well in the temple floor by Mariette in 1860 and during subsequent excavations by Sieglin (1909–10), Junker, and Reisner.

• Menkaure Pyramid - Menkaure’s pyramid complex includes a valley temple, a causeway, a mortuary temple, and the king’s pyramid. The valley temple once housed several statues of Menkaure. During the 5th Dynasty, a smaller ante-temple was added to the valley temple. The mortuary temple also revealed several statues of Menkaure.

• Great Sphinx - Conclude your layover tour with a visit to the Great Sphinx, located near the Valley Temple. The Sphinx is the oldest and largest in Egypt, featuring a lion’s body and a human head, symbolizing power and intellect. The face of the Sphinx is a portrait of Khafre, who built the middle pyramid of Giza.

Camel rides and entry into any of the pyramids can be arranged for an additional charge.

After completing your visit, you will be transferred back to Cairo Airport.
