It is one of the most important and famous palaces built during the rule of Muhammad Ali Pasha’s family in Egypt, serving as the seat of government from 1872 to 1952.
- Unknown Soldier Memorial - The Monument to the Unknown Soldier in Nasr City is a pyramid-shaped monument in Cairo, located in the Nasr City suburb. Designed by Egyptian artist Sami Rafie, it was built by order of the late Egyptian President Anwar Sadat to honor Egyptians who lost their lives in the War of Attrition and the October 1973 War. The site also serves as the burial place of President Sadat, following his assassination in October 1981.
- El Fishawy Cafe - Al-Fishawi Cafe, one of Cairo’s most famous cafés, is located in the Al-Azhar district and is one of the oldest coffee shops in Cairo, dating back to 1797. The cafe gained fame and charm thanks to Egyptian writer Naguib Mahfouz, who frequented it.
