• Cairo - Begin your day with a 7 am pickup from your hotel or apartment in Cairo or Giza for a full-day adventure to Fayoum Oasis with our licensed guide. After a 90-minute drive, we’ll arrive in Fayoum City, where we’ll switch from a mini-van to 4x4 Jeep cars driven by local Bedouin guides to start the tour.

• Fayoum Oasis - Your tour begins with a visit to Wadi El Rayan National Park, located at Egypt’s lowest point. Here, you’ll see waterfalls, a lower lake, eco-friendly buildings, free-roaming camels, and small boats used by local fishermen.

Visit Qarun Lake, Egypt’s third-largest lake, situated about 49 miles (80 km) southwest of Cairo. Keep an eye out for the various bird species that inhabit this saltwater lake.

• Valley of the Whales (Wadi Al-Hitan) - Next, take your 4x4 cars into the open desert for about 40 minutes to enjoy an adventurous drive over sand dunes until you reach Wadi Al Hitan. This impressive national park features two museums: the Museum of Fossils and Climate Change and the Open Air Fossils Valley of Whales, showcasing creatures that lived here 40 million years ago.

• Wadi El-Rayan - Gabal Al Medawara & The Charming Lake View. Drive to Gabal Al Medawara, a perfect place to relax, contemplate life, and experience authentic desert adventure. This area is a reserve of Wadi Al Hitan and offers beautiful views for photography. We’ll also stop here for lunch at a local Bedouin desert camp, where you can enjoy their traditional tea and coffee. After lunch, you’ll have free time for sandboarding.

• Fayoum Oasis - After lunch, drive to the Magic Lake, a small, closed lake with a maximum depth of around 40 meters. Here, you can take a horse or boat ride or simply watch birds flying in long, mesmerizing lines. Optionally, make a short stop at the village of Tunis to explore local crafts and industries before returning to our main minivan for the drive back to Cairo.
