Awesome experience - Whilst the journey by bus was long it was all so worthwhile because the views of the countryside and Cairo were a great experience. In addition, the Pyramids, Sphinx and Museum were awe inspiring. The your operator/ guides were 1st class, always informative and willing to answer the many questions that we had. A truly wonderful 24 hours 💯

Well worth the visit but be prepared to be rushed about! - The journey to Cairo from Sharm, by bus, is about 8/9 hours so be prepared. We were picked up at about 12.15am at our hotel on Friday morning. The museum was our first stop and was amazing, full of fantastic artefacts and the King Tut room was awe inspiring and emotional. Photographs and videos are not allowed in the room but lots of people ignored this! Our next stop was a short boat trip (optional) along the Nile to a floating restaurant. The food was very nice and there was plenty of it. We then visited a 'fragrant oil' manufacturer where various essential oils were available to buy - they were quite expensive and I'm not sure if anyone actually bought any. We then went to the Pyramids which was amazing although there wasn't enough time to go inside. We took the optional trip on a horse drawn 'chariot'. The driver was insistent that we gave him $10 each as a tip which I refused - our guide suggested giving him max $2 - with much arguing he 'accepted' $5! Next we went on a short drive to see the sphinx which was spectacular, guarding the pyramids and a great photo opportunity. Our final stop was at a papyrus shop where they explained the history and showed visitors how they are made. Many people bought the personalised ones to take home. There was a comfort stop of about half an hour on the way back to Sharm and we finally got back to our hotel at about 1am on Saturday. We really enjoyed the day and it was well worth the long journey there and back. Just be prepared to be rushed at each of the stops - there is not enough time to fully appreciate everything you see - think of it as a Cairo taster

Important sites whirlwind tour ! - Overall the day was excellent - well organised and the chance to see famous Egyptian sites in a short time scale. The organiser arranged the required visa for us and we had an English speaking Egyptologist - more information than I can remember Lunch was good - we opted out of short Nile boat trip tit he restaurant and glad we did we saw as much from the Bus driving to meet them at the restaurant. Bus wasn’t an issue for us but expect 6 hours plus each way.

Seven wonders - Camel riding around the pyramids was just exceptional Our tour guide was an amazing man Thankyou. Only downside was the journey time, however this was to be expected due the distance. Very good value for money too.

Beautiful but tiring - It’s a long journey! We leave the day before traveling at night in an uncomfortable coach sitting for 9 hours with 1 stop where it is possible to eat. In the morning, visit the Cairo Museum at a running pace! Too short for me, magnificent museum! Very nice guide… Boat trip for those who want (paid and without interest) honest lunch in Cairo and visit to the pyramids in the afternoon. Visit to a Perfume and Papyrus store without interest!! I miss a longer time at the museum!! Because honestly the boat, perfumes, papyrus have no interest…..and return to Charm in around 9 hours, i.e. midnight at the hotel…. It's very tiring. To do only if you really want to see the pyramids. Only Russians on the bus so the explanations in Russian and a little in English.

Day trip to Cairo - A long day but worth the effort to see the only one of the 7 wonders of the world still in existence. Awe inspiring to see them up close and still wonder at how they were built. A must if you go to Egypt. The Egyptian museum was fascinating as well with a knowledgeable guide. However, please can you correct the Itinerary on the web site as you do not even get close to the timings at each place listed below. The reason we booked this tour instead of others was to spend more time at the Museum, Pyramids and Sphynx. Instead we got a tour identical to all the others advertised with about 2 hours at the Museum, 1 hour at the pyramids and 35 minutes at the Sphynx. We did not actually get taken to the Papyrus Museum but to a shop trying to sell us papyrus and also to a perfume shop not even mentioned in the itinerary, again for the hard sell. We also chose this trip as it did not include the boat ride on the Nile, again to spend more time at the main sites, but this was factored in to the trip (at an additional cost) wasting time. Please be honest and say this tour is identical to all the others so everyone know what they are paying for. SCAM - Your guides will team up with shady shops to get you to spend money on fake oils and spices. We used so much money in the shop, because our GUIDE booked through Viator, told us it was a legit place. Apparently he was in on hustling us for our money, which is so uncomfortable. We were with these guides for 24hrs in total, can you imagine how we feel now coming home and finding out, that it was all a huge scam and we fell for it? Given the fact that we had a “licensed egyptologist” as our guide for the day. WE EVEN GAVE HIM TIPS AFTERWARDS. We are supposed to be able to trust our guides. We found out when we got home and put our “spices” in water - full of dye, chemicals and I am not even sure they are edible. Our oils are the fakest ever and NOT what they showed us in the shop. Is this how to treat the tourists on which your country’s economy lie upon? We are not recommendint this trip at all, and frankly, I don’t trust Viator anymore either! It was an awful experience and we feel so violated.
