Food tour: Cairo by night - An authentic Cairo food experience - The tour was an amazing experience that covered a lot of true Cairo street food. Karim was a delight and was very willing to answer all of our questions. He was even willing to add an extra stop because I wanted to try some sweet potatoes. Ahmed was a very skillful driver that took us safely for our hotel to the old town and back. I would 100% recommend it!

Much more than food - I often go on food tours when I visit new places since the food tells so much about the people and the place. This tour did not disappoint in anyway. The food was interesting and my only complaint could be that there was too much of it. The guide, Haytham, was what made the tour much much more than eating interesting food. He clearly loved sharing his extensive knowledge of the history and culture of Egypt. I would definitely recommend this tour and any tour that Haytham is leading. As a side note also enjoyed watching the skill of our driver. How the organized chaos of Cairo traffic flow remains both fascinating and terrifying.

Mohamed Talat: Incredible! - Mohamed Talat was exceptional! I truly couldn't have known about these places without him, or gotten around Cairo without him. I actually tripped and fell in the streets and he came running to my rescue haha (it was very funny, I am okay!) He was extremely sweet, polite, and all around wonderful to be around. We needed to be elsewhere at a sooner time, and he even adjusted the tour times for us so we could make it to our next adventure. If you do this food tour, please book it with him! We had wonderful conversations, especially about Game of Thrones! Such a sweet guy. Thanks so much Mohamed!

Meh, not a must - A large building for a museum with, in my opinion, little significance. You enter a central hall. There are many shops and places to eat and drink here. You scan your ticket and then you can climb the (escalating) stairs. There are various statues on the steps. You don't see a sarcophagus or other things. They also show a 4D movie, which is nice.

Avoid at all costs - Tour guide was 3 hours late. Museum was empty. Had to book my own transport. Tour guide lied about when they would pick up.

2024.01 Opening date is still unknown (please go to the Archaeological Museum) - It is currently undergoing pre-opening in early January 2024, but the main exhibit will be the archaeological museum. A few items in the archaeological museum are being moved and packed, but I think it will be several more years before everything is relocated.
