Stunning Cultural Wonder - Even if you hate museums, go to this one. The building & grounds are an experience entirely their own. This is still the soft opening (at the time of this review), meaning there are full exhibits not yet available & the grounds are unfinished, & it is all the most impressive, aesthetically beautiful experience I’ve ever had at any kind of museum. This is a massively impressive cultural achievement & I think it is so fitting that Egypt created this GEM given the historical disparagement by other governments & their patronizing “guardianship” of other cultures’ antiquities. I am only disappointed that I didn’t have time to visit the children’s museum within. My children aren’t with me but I am the director of an experiential library & love the opportunity to learn from other institutions & I can only imagine how amazing the children’s experience is in light of the larger museum. It took me an hour just to make it through the entry & up the stairs.

Amazing museum, worth trip for this alone - Must be one of best museums in world, wonderful purpose-built building, so much space and light for the exhibits, they are displayed with great care and placement, good english language explanations of each piece. Only focuses on ancient Egypt, nothing past the pharoahs. Worth making the trip to Cairo for ! Right next to pyramid sight so easy to combine the two. Also no queues the day we went, just walked right in. Good food court available for a sit-down. The tutankhamum display not open when we visited. Compared to the downtown museum - its like two different worlds.

Not to be missed - Truly fascinating this modern museum with easy access that should soon be completed with the exhibition of the treasures of Tutankamon. It is a pleasure to spend a few hours in contact with this wonderful civilization

Grand Egyptian exhibits and experience - This museum, just like the original Egyptian museum in Cairo, is packed with amazing artifacts dating back 4500 and more years. It is still under construction but many artifacts been already moved here. Rooms are organised by Egyptian periods and everything is well structured. Amazing collection! It requires at least 4 hours but preferably more. The gift shops offer nice goods, there is a coffee bar too. Loved the whole experience and described history. We visited this one first as we stayed in a hotel nearby in Giza, then we visited the museum in Cairo. Both are well worth your time.

An Experience of a Lifetime - Spectacular displays that showcase the rich heritage of Egypt. An experience of a lifetime. The Grand Egyptian Museum (GEM), partially opened to the public from October 16, 2024 is a mind blowing experience. Cannot wait for the complete museum to open to reveal the hidden treasures of Egypt.

A fabulous experience - Only very recently opened when we visited, this museum is breath-taking not only for its scale, design and spaciousness but also its exhibits though I understand it is only about a third complete. Care needs to be taken when admiring the displays within the steps, the area would seem hazardous to me combining exhibits, steps, paved terraces and low upstands for lights, it would be very easy to trip and fall, but in the main body of the museum it is the breath-taking exhibits that are the focus and one can only say wow! We spent approximately 6hrs, did not see everything but felt privileged to see as much as we did! Wonderful.

Museum worthy of the pharaohs! - The Great Museum is truly a pharaonic work! The visit was not complete as there were still closed rooms, but what I saw was already worth it. Parts well distributed, well explained.

Guided tour - I spent a few hours at the Egyptian museum in Giza with some colleagues and friends. Very beautiful and modern structure, the statues and all the artifacts of the glorious Egyptian civilization, are well preserved, cataloged and explained very well by the guide, in Italian (although a bit funny) who accompanied us along the various rooms, well stocked. All very interesting. The property also has several bars, a nice gift shop and other shops. Worth a visit, some works are really amazing
