Worth a trip all by itself - The GEM is worth a trip to Cairo all by itself. The building is magnificent and the exhibits are world class. At no time did I feel unsafe or unwanted in Egypt, just fascinated by a culture 3,500 years old.

Great Excursion - My experience with this tour was great. Sayed was the tour guide and Mohammed was our driver. They were on time and polite. Sayed was knowledgeable and told us a lot about many things and was very patient. After the museum we went to an authentic Papyrus shop where they explained the process of using the plant to make documents or a drawing. We then went to a perfume shop that my mom really enjoyed. They explained the different uses for all the oils as they didn’t alcohol. Definitely check it out and request Sayed.

A stunning building and a must see in Cairo - Amazing building with only part of Egypt’s treasure on display as, to date, Tutenkhamun and King Khufu’s boats are not there until official opening in July 25. 12 galleries of amazing artefacts with plenty of toilets, cafes and shopping to suit every taste. Right next to the pyramids.

Enjoyable experience - The Grand Egyptian Museum is already an impressive experience, even though it isn't fully open yet. We had a great time exploring what was available. The museum offers a true immersion into Egypt’s rich history with its spacious, modern, and clean design. It’s clear a lot of thought went into the layout, and it was easy to navigate. Plus, there are plenty of cafes and restaurants to take a break and enjoy the surroundings. Overall, a lovely experience, and we’re looking forward to seeing it in its full glory come July!

Great collection - Our driver and tour guide were excellent. Dr ire would jump out of car to open and close doors for us every time. Our guide was very knowledgeable and explained a lot about history.

New Grand Egyptian Museum, Cairo - Amazing Museum, a must visit when in Cairo. We visited the museum on our own since we didn’t want to be rushed. It isn’t 100% finished, King Tut section isn’t open yet, for King Tut you need to visit the Old Egyptian Museum. On the mezzanine level you will find stores, coffee and food shops and a great sitting area.

GEM a look at the Pharoes! - The museum is modern and amazing. It is huge and you need to have the patience to understand the different levels. Many pieces are repetitive but worth the visit. King Tut section was not open at this point, as yet. We went with a tour guide but one could easily do it yourself.

A must see when in Cairo.. great museum. - An stunning architecture that elegantly welcomes you once you enter from the main gates. Very good display of many valuable items and well spread eras. The official opening is not yet announced but the current open Halls are worth the visit. There also nicely set coffee places in the entrance Hall where you can sit for a break. It s a must see when in Cairo.
