Beautiful! - The Grand Egyptian Museum is already a pure architectural wonder, very modern. Inside, 12 rooms are currently open but everything is highlighted thanks to quality lighting. Disabled access, toilets everywhere. Admission is expensive but really worth it.

Phary Nice - May only be officially partially open but very easy to spend half a day here even with only a limited interest in Egypt's pharonic history. Food court and shops. Information desk useless but signage excellent and easy to route yourself round without a guide

A Journey Through Time: The Grand Egyptian Museum Experience - The Grand Egyptian Museum is a breathtaking destination for anyone passionate about Egypt's ancient history. Located near the Great Pyramids of Giza, the museum offers a seamless blend of modern architecture and historical wonders. The collection, which includes thousands of artifacts from different periods of Egypt's past, is vast and fascinating. Highlights include the treasures of King Tutankhamun, showcased in a stunning manner that allows visitors to fully appreciate the craftsmanship and significance of these items. Currently, only parts of the museum are open, but even these are enough to leave a lasting impression. The layout is spacious and well-organized, making it easy to navigate and absorb the stories behind the displays. Visitors can also enjoy activities such as workshops, guided tours, and interactive exhibits, which add depth to the overall experience. For a perfect start to the day, there are breakfast spots nearby offering traditional Egyptian delicacies with a view of the pyramids. The combination of rich history, awe-inspiring artifacts, and cultural immersion makes the Grand Egyptian Museum a must-visit destination for locals and tourists alike.

Beautiful impressive museum - Visited the Grand Egyptian Museum on Saturday October 12th. The entrance ticket is 1,000 EGP which is close the $ 20. A 50 minutes guided tour an audio set and a real guide are included. Our tour guide was Nour and she was doing an outstanding job explaining in perfect English everything about the old Egyptians (their obsession about eternity) and the statues in the museum. The collection of statues is truly impressive and a must see for tourists visiting Cairo. Besides the museum there are the three big pyramids. The official opening of the museum is supposed to happen on 2025. The massive 10 meter high granite statue, made of one piece, of Ramses II is absolutely amazing.

Wonderful first experience - Booked the tour of the Grand Hall and Staircase. I booked online at the GEM website and arrived late but just joined the next tour. Headphones are included so everyone can hear what is being said and the guide doesn't have to shout. Super impressive and informative. When the hanging galleries eventually open it will take several visits to see everything the museum is so enormous. Plenty of restaurants in the Grand Hall and wonderful souvenir shop.

Truly amazing museum and it will be epic once fully opened. - Only found out after we arrived in Egypt that more of GEM had been opened so we had to grab the opportunity to visit. Beautiful building and it's HUGE! So much to see, in fact we had to miss out a lot and concentrate on exhibits that interested us the most. Once fully open, I doubt if you could do it justice in just one day. It was pretty quiet as I don't think many people knew they had opened up some galleries but that will change for sure! Had a nice lunch at one of the on-site cafes.

Mixed experience - Museum very well done, with 12 trays that link in 3 rooms on 4 floors. An escalator allows you to reach the top of the plateaus. There are also large statues that decorate the stairs. Very nice architecture. I removed 2 stars for the following reasons: We pay the full price, while the Tutankhamun exhibition is still inaccessible, as well as the exhibition dedicated to children. We're supposed to pay by credit card, but the gentleman at the counter explains that we pay for children's tickets by credit card and adult tickets by cash. Then a lady comes to give us the adult tickets directly, they did not come out of the machine. It stressed us out. Note: you can take your phone, but no camera. We had to leave the GoPro in storage. It was free, and we did not encounter any difficulty.
