Great Shopping Tour with Helpful Tips and a Friendly Guide - We had a great experience on the VIP shopping tour in Cairo, especially exploring Khan El-Khalili. Bisho is a fantastic guide—very patient, knowledgeable, and full of interesting facts that made the tour even more enjoyable. He was very flexible and accompanied us wherever we wanted to go, always giving helpful tips on how to shop smart and avoid overpaying. We really appreciated how he respected our pace and checked in when we were tired, as well as his thoughtful recommendations throughout the tour. The papyrus workshop was interesting, although at times it felt a bit like you were expected to buy something. Still, overall it was a very positive experience and we would recommend this tour to others.

Nice shopping trip - Kareem and Shadi were both wonderful. We had a nice time shopping and we were able to pick up everything we needed for people back home. Would recommend for anyone who needs souvenirs or is looking for some things for themselves to remember their time in Egypt.

Crazy evening in Khan el Khalili - Great guide who brought us to the market and directed us through what is without doubt the craziest shopping experience I've had. Definitely worth doing for anyone considering it and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the guide we had.

Great Experience! - Bishoy was a great guide! He gave us valuable historical information while getting a personal shopping experience. Our driver was extremely professional and didn’t use his horn once (unlike most drivers here). I would highly recommend this tour if you want to shop without being hassled.

Top notch guide and driver to catch all the sites in the bazaar. - Everything we hoped for and more on this fantastic tour. Marsil and our fantastic driver Shady arrived promptly and safely whisked us through traffic and delivered us right to the heart of the bazaar and Old Town. Marsil is very familiar with shops, the best pricing and how to navigate to see all the colorful sites and humankind. She has a keen eye for photos and got great shots of us and street scenes. Shady picked us up and dropped us off several times knowing exactly where make it easy to see everything. Both are very knowledgeable, courteous and have perfect English. We had a wonderful tour!

Nightmare day tour - Very disappointed. The tour guide was rude and unprofessional. Made stops in other places that weren’t part of the trip. Stay on the phone long periods if time. Wanted us to shop in places that weren’t interested.

Disappointing VIP Tour to Khan el-Khalili – Felt Rushed and Misleading. - We booked this VIP private tour to experience the vibrant market at Khan el-Khalili, immerse ourselves in Egyptian culture, and learn about its rich history. Unfortunately, it fell far short of our expectations and didn't deliver on many of the promised elements. We originally scheduled the tour for 4pm to align with our plans, but on the day, our guide Karim messaged multiple times asking to move it earlier due to Ramadan. We accommodated the change. When Karim arrived at the hotel, the driver was already late. I informed him upfront that we'd skip the papyrus and perfume stops, as well as any Giza shopping, and instead focus on spices and perhaps a jewelry shop with authentic items, concentrating on the Cairo side. The itinerary started with a jewelry store, which seemed okay but overpriced —I had no basis for comparison at the time. Next was Kenouz Spice House, which turned out to be a major red flag. Do yourself a favor and read the reviews on this place; it's widely reported as a scam with exorbitant prices. It felt like we were being steered to stores where the guide had connections, possibly for commissions, rather than for our benefit. Karim spoke good English and gave a brief overview of Egyptian history en route, but we received zero in-depth information about the market itself—nothing on its cultural significance, or historical background. At Khan el-Khalili, we sat down to eat, but we had to pay for our own meals despite the inclusion of Koshary or falafel in the package. Karim only provided bottled water and some chips. After eating, he was eager to head back immediately, but we insisted on exploring more. We managed a quick walk through a few shops, but the whole experience felt rushed and superficial. The real eye-opener came a few days later when we returned to the market on our own during Ramadan after dark. Traveling with a small child, we felt completely safe and had no issues. We discovered stores with prices literally 10 times cheaper than where Karim took us, and we explored far more freely and enjoyably without the guide. I was disappointed. Overall, this didn't feel like a VIP or private tour at all—it was rushed, incomplete, and seemed more focused on funneling us to overpriced shops than providing cultural insight or value. Many inclusions were ignored, and it left us feeling uneasy about potential kickback arrangements. Save your money and do thorough research; we'd recommend exploring independently or choosing a different operator for a genuine experience.
