Very good learning with mummies - I learned so much... This place was bigger than what I thought it was gonna be and has a lot of stairs. So be mindful of that. Tons of mummy and kids....pretty busy when we went.

Most important museum of Islamic art - A museum of great importance for Islamic culture, with many rare artifacts, manuscripts from the Quran, among other objects. He survived the 2014 terrorist attack. Even some important pieces are exposed broken and with the observation that they were affected by the attack.

Museum to visit to know Islamic art - Works and objects of art are presented in different rooms according to the historical period and the development of Islamic art. Very interesting, well presented, well organized. Allow an hour and a half to visit quietly.

A little mentioned gem. - It is in the midst of a bustling part of Cairo- on our trip, we saw no other Anglo tourists. The signage was very good- map accurate and English translations readily available. Staff was pleasant and informative. It is a welcome segue from the ancient wonders. Taxi ride there gave a glimpse of the Egyptian shopping area.
