Day Tour with Kyrllos - Kyrllos Eskandar our tour guide, was truly exceptional in every way. Throughout the day, he showed remarkable patience as he guided our group. He took the time to answer all of our questions and made sure everyone felt included. His friendly attitude and enthusiasm for the sights we were seeing helped to create a warm and inviting atmosphere. It was clear that he was knowledgeable about the places we visited, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Thanks to Kyrllos, our day was filled with fun and learning, leaving us with many great memories to cherish.

Extraordinary!!! - My family and I had an **extraordinary** time visiting Coptic Cairo and the Citadel of Saladin. While the Pyramids are the most famous spot, Egypt has a long and vast history or religion and architecture, and visiting these sites made for an amazing time exploring this history. Our guide Bisho was the most important part of that. He's smart, has extensive knowledge of all these sites, is a great conversationalist, has awesome energy/enthusiasm, and loves giving broad and detailed answers to someone like me, who has a keen interest in history. Bisho picked us up from our hotel next to the Nile in downtown Cairo. From the onset he had great energy, was genuinely interested in getting to know us quickly and getting a feel for what type of interests we had, and very concisely outlined what we would do during our day. He came prepared, ready to go, and happy to show us around. At the Hanging Church, he gave us a nice and pointed summary of the church history, as well as details of the inside arrangement - including the number of pillars and their colors, the paintings, ceiling style, and walls. He also went over the church organizational/leadership structure and the style of worship. All important details for those passionate about history and religion. He then took us to the Abu Serga church, and we got even more detail on the tradition of the holy family stay in Egypt, as well as how the church remains a loved site for so many. He noted several traditions to us (such as breaking bread outside it) and also its role to the earliest times of the Coptic Christian church. Once we were done in Coptic Cairo, he drove us (very skillfully) to a couple of shops where we were given a demonstration on papyrus making and perfume/oils. The most important detail about this stop is that Bisho only took us, and at no point pressured us into entertaining anything we didn't want, or purchase anything we weren't interested in. Also the stores/shops are well vetted - the staff there is knowledgeable, charming, smart, and non-pushy. Then, Bisho took us (once again successfully navigating the intense traffic) to the Citadel, and once again gave us much material for us to get well-acquainted with the history of the site. Bisho once again commanded the material, and gave us a great intro for further reading on Salah ad-Din, the associated history in the 12th century, as well as the most recent history linked to Muhammad Ali, as well as the mosque. Bisho also had great command of architectural knowledge. Lastly, and an important detail not to be overlooked, Bisho also noted how much we overpaid for a couple of Coke Zeros outside the Citadel complex, advising us to always shop from shop outside the tourist sites. Many thanks on that. We had an extraordinary time, and now I am enjoying doing my further reading. I am so glad I got Bisho as a guide, and recommend him enthusiastically. Hope to see him again on another tour. Note, Hesham runs a good company, and would recommend him to folks traveling to Egypt, whether they are in for the historical knowledge, or architectural scope, or the shops. I am fortunate I got to schedule the tour on short notice, and that we got Bisho as our guide. THANK YOU Bisho!

Perfect introduction to Egypt and Cairo - We loved this tour! The places we visited on the tour, cathedrals, churches, and other small little places were perfect to see on a guided tour as otherwise I may not have got to see these places on my own. It was also extremely useful to have a guide further Khan Al Khalili bazaar as it really is crowded and there are not too many other tourists so, as a white person you stand out! It was useful to have a local guide who could speak Arabic. We also stopped and had some drinks at one of the café which was something I probably would not have done, without a guide. The driver and the tool guide also worked very well together as every time we were done with one location we would simply walk out and the driver would be ready to take us to the next place without any fuss. It was so much easier than trying to navigate Cairo ourselves without being able to speak Arabic and having to call a taxi each time. This is a really great way to see parts of Cairo that may not catch your eye enough on their own to warrant travelling to, but when peace together as part of a tour it was brilliant. Our tour guide Doaa was very knowledgeable, had answers to all of our questions, and we learnt a lot about Egyptian culture and Islam which was very interesting as we truly knew nothing before coming here! I highly recommend to anyone looking for an English language tour of some cultural sites
