Your guide will collect you from your accommodation to take you on a curated tour of the Egyptian Museum, a treasure-trove of artifacts from the realm of the Pharaohs. With an extensive art collection spanning 5000 years, it’s one of the largest repositories of Egyptian antiquities in the world. It showcases over 250,000 items, including a special exhibit dedicated to the hoard of gold, jewelry, and other treasures found in the tomb of Tutankhamen, untouched for over 3,500 years until its discovery in the 1920s.
From there, you’ll explore the Mohamed Ali Alabaster Mosque within the Citadel of Salah El Din. After your meal at a local eatery, you’ll journey through Islamic Cairo to Khan El Khalili, the city’s historic market. Your final stop is Coptic Cairo, featuring visits to the Hanging Church, Ben Ezra Synagogue, the Church of St. Barbara, and the Church of Abu Serga. Afterwards, we’ll arrange transportation back to your lodgings.
