Very friendly staff and a great experience! - The driver came to the hotel right on time. On the way to the pyramids, he was very kind and explained about the various buildings and ruins. The buggy experience was very exciting and became one of my best memories! I was also glad that he enthusiastically took photos of the pyramids and the buggy. I would recommend this to guests from Japan too!

Would do it again! - Very kind guide. Goes out of his way to meet your needs.He made sure we had water and gave us alot of information about the history.

Wonderful experience, Helpful & Friendly guide - Omar our guide was very knowledgeable & flexible. We started our tour from a visit to the Egyptian museum and he showed us the important items and their history that we would never have known. We then toured the Pyramids of Giza & Sphinx which was a very memorable experience. He added a tour to a papyrus paper art studio which was another highlight of our tour. We had a minor miscommunication during the pick up but Omar was helpful in talking to the driver ( although this was not his fault) , resolving the issue and ensured that the we had a smooth travel. Overall the experience was amazing & Omar was a friendly guide! We highly recommend this trip to anyone visiting Egypt.

DANGEROUS SCAMMER - READ BEFORE BOOKING - My friend (male) and I (female) booked a private tour of Giza Pyramids with Horizon Travel. The day tour went fine and the tour guy Amr seemed like decent guy. I shared with him that we planned to travel to Hurghada the following day for a day drip and then have a taxi take us to Luxor that evening and do a full day tour with a hot air balloon ride the following day. I had already booked all the flights, hotel and transportation and only had the actual tours to book. At the end of our Pyramid Tour, my male friend went to his room and Amr continued to push for me to book the travel and the tours for Hurghada and Luxor through him and insisted I pre-pay cash - $450 USD. That evening, I was reaching out to Amr to get the itinerary and information regarding who was picking us up but Amr would refuse to send so we flew to Hurghada without any idea as so what is going on which unsettling. When we arrived, a driver who spoke no English picked us up and took us to some random neighborhood 20 min away from the marina from where the boat tour was supposed to depart, and made us sit in the hot car for an hour for no reason - we tried to find some breakfast or coffee but everything was closed so we went on the boat tour hungry. After the boar tour, a different driver picked us up at about 4:30 pm and told us we have 5 min to get our bags and start the 3 hour drive to Luxor. We told him that we would like to leave a little later because we were starving (we skipped breakfast and the food on the boar wasn’t very good) and we wanted to take a quick shower as we were covered in sand and salt water. This turned into a huge issue because the driver didn’t want to take us later, Amr was telling me to wait 3 hours till we get to Luxor to eat and he started telling me the highways were going to close if we don’t leave immediately. We eneded up speaking to our hotel receptionist who confirmed that the highways were open and it won’t be an issue. Amr and the driver kept harassing us about leaving immediately because the driver didn’t feel like going later and they started to demanded we pay an additional $130 to the driver (meanwhile we already paid $450 cash and an Uber was $50-$75 for that ride). We told Amr to we will just take an uber to Luxor ($50) and continue the tour there and Amr started telling me that we MUST get inside the car otherwise he will cancel our hot air balloon ride and day tour in Luxor… WHAT?! I paid this man in CASH and he was demanding more without a prior agreement and we weren’t allowed to eat and shower on OUR VACATION? After further arguing I called an uber and asked the hotel staff to come outside because Amr’s driver was getting angry about us not giving him $130, and he processed to tell the hotel staff in Arabic that when we get into his car, he will take us to the neighboring city of Safaga where he is from, and will rob us and hurt us! Both the uber Driver and the hotel staff told us what he said and told us not to get into the car with him! The driver ended up leaving and waiting for us outside of the hotel as we got into another Uber. I never been so scared for my life! Amr proceeded to message me on WhatsApp and telling me that everyone is lying to me and he’s the only one I can trust.. The Uber driver got us to Luxor safely thankfully but I had the worst anxiety of my life for the entire 3 hour drive. I also had to book another hotel once in Luxor because they knew where we were staying, and I was scared that they would come to our hotel. Amr then messaged me saying that he will keep the hot air balloon tour and cancel the rest because I had to pay the driver who didn’t take us anywhere, but he would refuse to send us information on the tour. He kept saying to tell him where we were staying so that the new driver can pick us up for the “hot air balloon ride” which sounded like he just wanted to find our where our new hotel was. We obviously didn't get any money back but just happy we didn't get kidnapped. This man is a dangerous scammer, think twice before booking with him.
