An excellent experience - We loved everything, except that the boat is very packed that we couldn’t find a seat for us on the way back. Other than that we loved the experience we would pick it again.

Thankfully, I brushed up on my Italian - It might be misinterpreting but I did not feel welcome here. It's hard to get into restaurants if you don't have a reservation and trying to make one can be difficult. It's best to try to speak the language or you could be ignored. Locals weren't very friendly or welcoming . Trying to book a boat to see the grottoes for the next day was impossible and it was end Sept. And the boats were $375 for 8 hours. If you really want to see the grottoes then visit on a weekday, perhaps. I would definitely return to other places in Sardinia but not here...

Tiring - We decided to do the mini cruise of the Gulf of Cala Gonone, very beautiful but tiring, we took the first ferry to be able to better visit the various coves but we were left for three hours in Cala Mariolu under the scorching sun, beautiful swim with very few people (however you need umbrella and rock shoes) after 9 am it filled up and you could not stay. then the boat picked us up and took us to Cala Briola, here too she left us an hour and then came to pick us up to leave us another hour at Cala Luna (in all the places without the shoes you get hurt) returned at 17.30 tired dead and cooked by the sun. They might warn you that you need an umbrella and shoes.

Tourist trap! - Despite a splendid site, this mini cruise is a real tourist trap! People jostle on board and insult each other to get a place. The offered aperitif is thrown to us through the crowd. The explanations of the visit to the microphone are inaudible. Nightclub music surrounded by nature. The team on board made no effort to explain to us and were not welcoming. Very expensive for what is offered! To flee !
