Ghost Walk Tour - My girlfriend @ I did the Ghost Walk Tour on Oct 17th @ 7:30 with Levi. Levi did an awesome job telling Ghost stories and history of many of the buildings in the park. It was obvious Levi loves his job by his enthusiasm and humor. It was a neat experience walking through the park at night. Thank you for providing flashlights that we got to keep.

Easy experience - Makes a visit to the park quick with fast access. Just had to go to the admissions person who verifies your passes and your off. Excellent to visit in a Fall setting .

Beautiful day for a walk around the park with lots of interesting buildings and exhibits. - Hadn’t been to heritage park for about 12 years. Really enjoyed the newer energy and coal mining exhibits. View from there of the reservoir and mountains was beautiful. Fairly new laundry building on Main Street was really well done and interpreter in the laundry was excellent. Interpreter in the woodworking shop was also excellent. Also really enjoyed building with historic road and construction equipment. And the train buildin with restored engines and passenger cars. Baked goods from bakery are as good as ever

Many activities for all ages. - So much to do, even for seniors. We rode the train, paddleboat, went to the amusement park and rode the Ferris wheel and merry-go-round, and the horse drawn wagon, and toured the antique railway cars. Capped it off with a delicious dinner at the signature restaurant. September was the perfect time to visit - glorious weather and small crowds. Kids were having a blast, and there was even a wedding on the grounds that day.

Beautiful Park with Educational Opportunities - The park was in a beautiful location and the historical re-enactments were educational. We really enjoyed the boat ride as well!

A must visit park - Heritage Park in Calgary is a fantastic destination for a family outing. The park stands out for its welcoming policy on food and drinks, allowing visitors to bring their own and enjoy a picnic-like atmosphere—a rare perk that saves a lot on expenses compared to other parks where you can easily spend over $100 just on meals. Though tickets are on the pricier side at $36 for adults and $26 for kids, the experience is worth every penny. The park is meticulously managed, from parking to rides and everything in between. It’s incredibly clean, with free water fountains and spotless washrooms, ensuring a comfortable visit. Highly recommended for a day of fun and relaxation!

Welcome to Canada! - What a great place, from beaver hunter forts to masonic lodges this has a lot to do. Where else can you get a trip on a steam train and then on a paddle steamer. These places are invaluable for saving a country’s historical buildings. All the actors are great to talk to and knowledgable. Some great shops and stalls to also see and a great sweet shop!

Good place to visit in Calgary - Well worth a visit, historical recreations and genuine relocated buildings, plus funfairs and rides on steam train and paddle steamer. The food service was quite poor - it was hard to get in anywhere in September and they had run out of basics. Plus, in the ice cream shop, an elderly lady slipped and fell hard on a floor spillage in the ice cream place. To my amazement the staff not only watched and ignored this, they didn't even clear the spill. I moved the queue cone onto the spill... Personally, I'd be suing them if I were her.

Good experience in the park! - I was amaze by the collection of vintage cars and trucks housed in one roof! We enjoyed both riding in the train and also Moyie (the boat). I took several photo of different old structures in the village- it was fun! The park personnel have dressed in nice costumes were very entertaining. The food in main dining hall was not as good as expected although the service is great.

Heritage Park Ghouls Night Out - We went to Ghouls Night Out on October 24, 2025. Before the pandemic we had done many years of the Halloween park night. This year was a disappointment. Upon entering the park there was a man with a microphone sitting near the old hearse. He was weird with his comments and not in a Halloween way. It was not an enjoyable way to enter or leave the event. The volunteers giving directions and information were great. Our favorite moment was when a gentleman walked down the middle of the street calling 'make way for the dead, make way for the dead. And then a horse and carriage hearse followed, The corpse in the coffin made his presence known. Unfortunately the park was too dark even for a Halloween event. It was so dark, we couldn't see the other guests costumes unless we were right next to them. And it was hard to view the decorations and volunteers who where dressed in Halloween costumes along the pathways as lighting was so poor. Again after attending many previous years, we found this year to have been too dark to enjoy the event.
