A must visit park - Heritage Park in Calgary is a fantastic destination for a family outing. The park stands out for its welcoming policy on food and drinks, allowing visitors to bring their own and enjoy a picnic-like atmosphere—a rare perk that saves a lot on expenses compared to other parks where you can easily spend over $100 just on meals. Though tickets are on the pricier side at $36 for adults and $26 for kids, the experience is worth every penny. The park is meticulously managed, from parking to rides and everything in between. It’s incredibly clean, with free water fountains and spotless washrooms, ensuring a comfortable visit. Highly recommended for a day of fun and relaxation!

Welcome to Canada! - What a great place, from beaver hunter forts to masonic lodges this has a lot to do. Where else can you get a trip on a steam train and then on a paddle steamer. These places are invaluable for saving a country’s historical buildings. All the actors are great to talk to and knowledgable. Some great shops and stalls to also see and a great sweet shop!

Unique day out - Really well-run facility... don't know if "park" does this place justice. We recently spent a chill Sunday afternoon here and had such a pleasant experience. There's something for everyone - history, scenery, animals, reenactments, rides, yummy snacks and unique shopping opportunities. I would highly recommend it for anybody staying in Calgary.

A step back in time… - Great value and very interesting place to visit! We are in town visiting for a day before our flight leaves and this place revealed a lot of interesting history about Calgary. We’re retired and didn’t have any grandkids with us on the trip and found it very enjoyable just the two of us. Lots of families taking advantage of this great place with plenty of things for kids. Loved the expansive Gas Museum that came with our entrance to Heritage Park. The boat and train were awesome as well!

Well worth the visit - This is a great experience. Through out the park you encounter volunteers who provide informative information and facts about all of the parks features. The day we visited was not busy so that helped. The paddle steamer was a good ride as was the train. The lunch in the old hotel was good. Lots of interesting small shops and houses.

Brilliant Experience - The detail of the reconstruction of this gold rush era village is amazing. The volunteers and staff played their parts to perfection and the variety was quite amazing. The printer was particularly interesting and the demonstration of type-setting quite a revelation.

Good experience in the park! - I was amaze by the collection of vintage cars and trucks housed in one roof! We enjoyed both riding in the train and also Moyie (the boat). I took several photo of different old structures in the village- it was fun! The park personnel have dressed in nice costumes were very entertaining. The food in main dining hall was not as good as expected although the service is great.

A Happy Visitor - We enjoyed visiting and experiencing Heritage Park on our visit to Calgary. Seeing the historic buildings provided an insight to the history of Alberta. The historians located in each building were very friendly as well as knowledgeable.
