Well worth the visit - This is a great experience. Through out the park you encounter volunteers who provide informative information and facts about all of the parks features. The day we visited was not busy so that helped. The paddle steamer was a good ride as was the train. The lunch in the old hotel was good. Lots of interesting small shops and houses.

Brilliant Experience - The detail of the reconstruction of this gold rush era village is amazing. The volunteers and staff played their parts to perfection and the variety was quite amazing. The printer was particularly interesting and the demonstration of type-setting quite a revelation.

What a wonderful place - Visiting from the UK (as part of a 11 week USA / Canada Road trip) we came here hoping to fill half a day. Entering just after opening at 9am, it was nearly 5pm before we left Beautifully and sensibly laid out it was, mostly, clear which buildings are relocated originals and which were newly built copies. The "actor hosts" got a good balance between being in-character and knowledgeable current-day guide when you wanted to ask questions. Disappointments? We had to ask for a site map at the ticket desk rather than being given one, and didn't even realise until early afternoon that there was a printed "programme" of daily happenings. Meant we missed the gold panning, and we only got the boat commentery by fortunately being on one of the few trips where commentary is given.

A gem in Calgary - We enjoyed Heritage Park very much. The train ride, wagon ride, Ferris wheel, costumed characters and all the buildings were very interesting. The bakery had huge cinnamon rolls. Lots of people but managed very well. Friendly staff and really brought history back to life. Gasoline alley had many beautiful old vehicles and signage from yesteryear. We were there for 5 hours n

Great Transportation Museum - We enjoyed the museum of transportation immensely! We road the steam engine and walked around some. Many of the activities were more appealing for younger children. The grounds were clean with pretty landscaping.
