Memorable Family Trip - Our private tour of Joshua Tree National Park was a fun and memorable experience for our family group of five adults ranging in age from 31 to 79—myself, my spouse, our son and daughter-in-law, and my sister. Our guide, Jim, was outstanding: friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable about the park and the Palm Springs area. Jim tailored the tour to our interests, set a comfortable pace, and suggested the best spots for photos—many of which he took for us. We had a bit of an auspicious start to the tour: upon arriving at the Visitor’s Center, our phones alerted us to an earthquake detected in the area. We weren’t sure how the day—or the tour—was going to unfold, but fortunately, it was smooth sailing after that. Highly recommend this tour for anyone looking to explore Joshua Tree with a knowledgeable and personable guide. It's an excellent way to experience the park’s unique flora and rock formations. One note: the pre-tour guidance suggested dressing warmly, but in late April, we found the temperatures comparable to those in Palm Desert.

An amazing day in the Joshua Tree Park admiring nature - We are a couple from the Bay Area in California. We booked a private tour. Spencer, our guide, showed up on time and greeted us. He was very informative and explained the history of the park, showed us many different types of desert plants, took us to many popular spots like Quail Springs, Skull Rocks. We enjoyed walking around and the natural rock formations, the Joshua trees, and admired the landscape. It was worth booking a private tour - we enjoyed the trip. We enjoyed Spencer’s company. We highly recommend him as a tour guide.

Joshua Tree Park - Spencer was a great guide and knew the area very well. Explained all the rock formations and plant life. He was very easy to talk to and made the day go by quickly. He was on time and did not worry how long the trip took even though we got detoured in the park.

A Day Exploring Joshua Tree National Park - We had a lovely day with Sophie and Jim! Sophie is so incredibly knowledgeable about the history, geology, plants, and wild life of the park. Our teens were engaged throughout the day exploring, scrambling, and enjoying the beautiful scenery. We would have never had this amazing experience on our own! Thanks for the fun, memories, and awesome photos!

Missed out - This trip looks like it would have been amazing, had we gotten to go. We showed up at our scheduled time, 8am, and no one was there. Contacted viator prior to ensure we had the correct time. Called viator back and they tried three times and were unable to reach the company. They then tried to make my mil feel stupid (I heard the man on the phone). He told them they showed up and waited for us. We stayed put until almost 9. Claims that viator just fills a time in and it’s not correct. Owner says he’ll try to figure out how to refund her. As a business owner myself, I know refunds are not that complicated. I’d recommend confirming with this company directly, and not viator. Obviously there is a communication problem.
