- Pico do Arieiro - The next stop is Pico do Areeiro, the third highest peak on the island, with an altitude of 1818m providing fabulous 360 ‘views of the island. Often, rock formations can be seen crossing clouds, creating breathtaking visuals and photographic opportunities.
- Ribeiro Frio - Then we proceed to Ribeiro Frio (which means cold river). Ribeiro Frio is a small village located in the heart of the Laurissilva forest. It is the largest surviving area of laurel forest in the world and is believed to be 90% of primary forest. In this place classified as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, we can enjoy a fantastic variety of plants and species in their habitat. We can also observe the interesting trout farm composed (as naturally as possible) by stone enclosures, fresh water from levada, located in a beautiful setting of pure nature.
- Fortress of Faial - We continue our tour to Faial where we can see the imposing rock of Penha de ‘guia, which separates Faial from Porto da Cruz.
- Santana - With a long stop at the village of Santana, you will have enough time to have lunch and also take the opportunity to see the world famous typical triangular thatched houses of Madeira, painted in cheerful primary colors.
- Ponta de Sao Lourenco - Ponta São Lourenço, located in the most eastern part of the island, we can observe this magnificent landscape characterized by the fantastic combination of rocks, sea and nature.
- Machico - Our final stop is the largest city in Machico; the first area of the island that Portuguese navigators found at the time of the discoveries.

Fantastic tour, would highly recommend - Renata was an excellent host, first class, and great driver. We thoroughly enjoyed the days excursion. So much knowledge and a true gentleman to his passengers. Everything from trees, fruit, history, and up to date. Would highly recommend this tour and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend. Thank you Renata. ( George lol, go on the tour to find out this).

A good day out! - Stopping off and seeing different attractions on route and the commentary from our guide. We were lucky that we had lovely sunny weather on the day. We were picked up on time from our hotel.

Highly recommend - Highly recommend this tour as it visits a number of places and our guide took us to see a genuine traditional old house, not just those built as a tourist attraction

East tour and half day tour - Booked via what’s app so easy and arrangements to pick up tickets at hotel as well as paying. The East tour we were picked up as a small group at the hotel and had a knowledgeable guide who spoke several languages. Almthough lunch was not included a deal with as made at the hotel in Santana for those that wanted it. The tour was great enjoyed it better than the west tour was great that all the fruits were pointed out as we drove around and the views were stunning. The second trip through no fault of the tour operator was a nightmare as the wrong company (there fault) picked us up in error. However apologies were received and offers of another more expensive trip was offered to us even though not our tour operators error. They responded and even phoned us to check we were ok couldn’t fault their attention in difficult circumstances quite happy to send their details to work colleagues visiting later this year.

Shame about the bus!! - Unfortunately this trip was not good. The bus driver was very abrupt, the mini bus seats were all broken with had broken seat belts too. I tried three seats and then gave up. We were told we could have the noisy air conditioning on or the driver commentary. We couldnt have both, as the intercom on the bus was broken. We chose the commentary so air conditioning was turned off. Only to find some of the windows wouldn't open and we were told to stop trying to open them. This didn't feel like a touring mini bus as the windows were really low and we couldn't see outside without ducking down. Some of the seats had the wheel arch inside the bus, therefore no leg room. The poor condition of the bus let this tour down. The locations were great and really enjoyed the scenic stops.
