• Phnom Kulen National Park - Day 1: Begin at 08:00 am with your driver and tour guide picking you up from your accommodation to visit Phnom Kulen National Park (9th century C.E, Hindu religion). The waterfall and riverbed carvings of 1000 Shiva Lingas are a major attraction. Enjoy a lunch break at a local restaurant. On the way back, we may stop for beautiful photo opportunities, and to experience a traditional Khmer village and palm sugar and Palm Cake production.
• Angkor Wat - Day 2: We recommend starting early at 04:45 am. Your tour guide and driver will pick you up from your hotel to purchase a one-day temple pass, then proceed to witness the incredible sunrise over Angkor Wat. After the crowd disperses, continue exploring Angkor Wat, which should be completed by around 08:00 am.
• Banteay Srei - Next, head to Banteay Srei, located 37 km from the city (Late 10th century C.E, Hindu religion dedicated to Shiva).
• Ta Prohm Temple - Take a lunch break at a local restaurant near the temple (meals cost $6-$8 per plate). Visit Ta Prohm, also known as the “Tomb Raider Temple” or the “Angelina Jolie Temple” due to its appearance in the 2001 film Lara Croft: Tomb Raider. This Bayon-style temple was built largely in the late 12th century by King Jayavarman VII as a Mahayana Buddhist monastery.
• Bayon Temple - Then proceed to Bayon, the last state temple built at Angkor and the only Angkorian state temple primarily dedicated to Buddhist deities by King Jayavarman VII in the late 12th or early 13th century. Before concluding the tour, we will stop at Angkor Thom South Gate for wonderful pictures.
