- Siem Reap Province - For the Kulen Mountain tour, guests will be picked up from their hotel in Siem Reap at approximately 7:40 AM in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle. The journey to the mountain takes about 1.5 hours, providing scenic views of the Cambodian countryside. After a full day of exploring Kulen’s historical and natural attractions, including the Reclining Buddha, River of a Thousand Lingas, and the waterfall, guests will be returned to their hotel in the evening, ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience throughout.
- Banteay Srei - Banteay Srei is a 10th-century Cambodian temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Situated about 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) north of Angkor Wat, it is famous for its intricate carvings, considered some of the finest in Khmer architecture. The temple is constructed from red sandstone, allowing for elaborate and detailed artwork, including scenes from Hindu mythology.
- Preah Ang Thom pagoda - Preah Ang Thom features an 8-meter (26 ft) tall statue of the reclining Buddha reaching nirvana. The statue is carved into a large natural sandstone boulder, with a modern staircase and a shelter added over the Buddha. It is a sacred and special site for Cambodians, often bustling with visitors. Surrounding the pagoda, there are numerous souvenir stalls, and before the stairs, a grand naga balustrade and an entrance arch flanked by elephants (all contemporary) can be found. Upon reaching the pagoda entrance, visitors can remove their shoes, offer blessings, and ascend the staircase to the grand Buddha. The site includes numerous modern sculptures, a Buddha’s foot imprint or Buddhapada (near the shoe area), and is a special place for reflection, though it can be busy.
- 1000 Lingas - Along a 500-meter stretch of the riverbed, there are carvings of linga, several large and small yoni, and a significant carving of Vishnu. Small carvings are also visible in the bedrock along the riverbed walls.
- Phnom Kulen Waterfall - Phnom Kulen National Park features two main waterfalls.
First waterfall: 4–5 meters (13–16 ft) tall and approximately 25 meters (82 ft) wide during the rainy season.
Second waterfall: 15–20 meters (49–66 ft) tall and about 15 meters (49 ft) wide during the rainy season.
The size of the waterfalls varies with the seasons and rainfall. Visiting the waterfalls is a popular activity on the Kulen Mountain Tour.
- Beng Mealea - Lunch at a local restaurant near the temple.
- Beng Mealea - Beng Mealea, located about 40 kilometers east of Angkor Wat, is one of Cambodia’s most enigmatic temples. Built in the early 12th century, it remains largely unrestored, offering visitors a sense of discovery as they explore its collapsed galleries and vine-covered walls. Unlike other temples in the region, Beng Mealea is surrounded by dense jungle, with trees and roots intertwined with the temple stones, creating an atmosphere of mystery and adventure. Its massive scale and largely untouched state make it a captivating destination for those seeking a more authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience.
- Siem Reap Province - After a full day of exploring Kulen Mountain’s highlights, including the Reclining Buddha, River of a Thousand Lingas, and the waterfalls, as well as Banteay Srei temple, the return journey will begin in the late afternoon. The drive back to Siem Reap takes about 1.5 hours, with guests being dropped off at their hotel around 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing end to the tour.
