Banteay Srei - Banteay Srei is a 10th-century Cambodian temple dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Located approximately 25 kilometers (15.5 miles) north of Angkor Wat, it is renowned for its intricate carvings, considered some of the finest in Khmer architecture. The temple is made of red sandstone, allowing for elaborate and detailed artwork, including scenes from Hindu mythology.
-
Preah Ang Thom pagoda - Preah Ang Thom is an 8-meter (26 ft) tall statue of the reclining Buddha reaching nirvana. The statue is carved into a large natural sandstone boulder, with a modern staircase and a shelter added over the Buddha. It is a very sacred and special site for all Cambodians, often bustling with visitors.
-
1000 Lingas - Along a stretch of the riverbed for around 500 meters, there are carvings of linga, several big and small yoni, and a large carving of Vishnu. Along the walls of the riverbed, small carvings are also seen in the bedrock.
-
Phnom Kulen Waterfall - There are two main waterfalls in Phnom Kulen National Park.
First waterfall: 4–5 meters (13–16 ft) tall and around 25 meters (82 ft) wide during the rainy seasons.
Second waterfall: 15–20 meters (49–66 ft) tall and around 15 meters (49 ft) wide during the rainy seasons.
The size of the waterfalls varies according to the seasons and the rain. Visiting the waterfalls is a popular activity on the Kulen Mountain Tour.
- Beng Mealea - Lunch will be at a local restaurant near either Beng Mealea Temple or Banteay Srei Temple, depending on the timing.
- Beng Mealea - Beng Mealea, located about 40 kilometers east of Angkor Wat, is one of Cambodia’s most enigmatic temples. Built in the early 12th century, it remains largely unrestored, giving visitors a sense of discovery as they wander through its collapsed galleries and vine-covered walls. Unlike other temples in the region, Beng Mealea is surrounded by thick jungle, with trees and roots intertwined with the temple stones, creating an atmosphere of mystery and adventure. Its massive scale and largely untouched state make it a captivating destination for those seeking a more authentic, off-the-beaten-path experience.
- Siem Reap Province - After a full day of exploring Banteay Srei, Beng Mealea Temple, and Kulen Mountain’s historical and natural attractions, including the Reclining Buddha, the River of a Thousand Lingas, and the waterfall, the return journey will begin in the late afternoon. The drive back to Siem Reap takes about 1.5 hours, and guests will be dropped off at their hotel around 5:00 PM to 5:30 PM, ensuring a comfortable and relaxing end to the tour.
