Amazing Guide and Truly Happy Place For Elephants!! - We are a couple with our senior mother from Hong Kong. We are so pleased with our guide Mr. Wanna. He is very nice, patient and knowledgable for history. He was very flexible with timing and our needs because we were traveling during the hottest time in Cambodia, we needed to take some breaks for our 70 yrs old mother. Mr. Wanna was so patient and Kulen was such a wonderful experience for us. We love animals and would never ride on them, Kulen was such a sanctuary for the retired elephants, the elephants are so happy there. I highly recommended this activity for children/couple/family/ animal lovers.

Great way to spend the day! - This tour was wonderful - I recommend you do it if you have time! Our guide Borey shared stories of Cambodian history, the regions we drove through, as well as his personal experiences related to each. He was so animated and drew us into the stories! We joined a group of other tourists at the elephant forest which was a treat, as we got to make a rice ball mixture for the elephants and then feed them a variety of treats. We were also able to follow the elephants and their mahout (handler) while our elephant forest guide shared many details. He was very knowledgeable and animated - we really enjoyed him. We also got to wash the elephants and then had a light snack of mixed fruits (afternoon tour). There is some walking in loose dirt, when thinking about shoes. After that, we went to the fishing village which was an interesting experience to see how the stilted houses, boats and community members while learning more about that area while on our boat. Borey was a great guide and our driver was very good at maneuvering the traffic. We enjoyed every minute of it and would highly recommend it!

Unforgettable day! - We absolutely loved our day visiting the Kulen Elephant Sanctuary and Kulen Mountain with our guide, Seila! He was very knowledgeable and kind and we enjoyed his company. The visit with the elephants was a highlight and our lunch at the sanctuary lunch was yummy. We appreciated all the information about the Kulen mountain and loved to visit the waterfall and reclining Buddha. Also we were comfortable and well hydrated in our vehicle. Would highly recommend this tour and this guide! Thank you!

The biggest best experiences outside Siem Reap in one easy time-saving tour! - Chenla and his driver Chai were the BEST! And this tour was EXACTLY what I was looking for. I didn't have the time to spend a whole afternoon at the elephant forest plus a whole afternoon at the floating village but I wanted to see them both. I am SO glad I made the decision to choose this tour because the timing worked out perfectly so that I could see both in a relatively short amount of time, and in privacy and comfort. Other guests of the elephant forest mostly ride a bus the hour or so from Siem Reap but I had my own air-conditioned car for the whole drive which was super relaxing. Chenla also gave me a history of Cambodia during the drive and answered any questions I had about the culture, etc. At the elephant forest you do join the 1pm small group tour that comes in separately, but I had Chenla there to take pictures for me and to let us know when it was time to break off from the group and head to the floating village (note: I was really happy with the experience I had there even though we ended the tour a little early, so I don't regret having to dip out before the whole tour was over BUT you will skip bathing with the elephants or whatever the last part of the tour is if you don't stay 'til the end. Again this did not bug me at all even though originally it sounded super cool). The floating village was such a unique experience and it made me so thankful that this tour didn't make me choose between the two. For that Chenla hired us our own boat captain so that we had the whole boat to ourselves and we could stop (or not) wherever I wanted. No wasting time waiting around for other people to get on/off the boat, etc. As a solo female traveler I always felt really safe and respected by Chenla and Chai, and that they genuinely wanted me to have a great time. If you want to see both of these places but don't want to devote 2 whole afternoons to do it (and/or if you prefer a more private situation), this is the tour for you. No question.

A unique opportunity to experience elephants and nature in Cambodia - Our guide Seila did a spectacular job of explaining the history, culture, nature during our full day tour. The elephant sanctuary tour is not to be missed as it provides an opportunity to experience the personalities of several elephants. Besides explaining the background of the elephant sanctuary he provided additional details about the Angkor temples we saw the previous day. The exploration of Kulen Mountain and swimming in the pools below the waterfall was wonderful. Seila was insightful, personable and entertaining the full day.
