Highlights
  • Phnom Kulen National Park - Our tour guide will pick you up from your hotel at 8:00 am and take you to purchase a Phnom Kulen ticket. We will then head to Phnom Kulen National Park for approximately 1 hour. This journey takes you through rural Cambodian villages, where you may observe locals going about their everyday lives and admire beautiful landscapes such as rice paddies and traditional dwellings. Stop off at the Palm Sugar Village and witness how Cambodian people make their own sugar to supply their families and villages.

Afterward, we continue to the hilltop of Phnom Kulen, and our knowledgeable local guide will take you to the most spectacular tourist attractions in the national park, including the largest and most beautiful waterfalls, the reclining Buddha sculpture, and the River of Thousand Linga, which was constructed in 802 AD.

  • Beng Mealea - In the afternoon, we will have lunch at the local restaurant before heading to Beng Melea, the mysterious 12th-century temple in the middle of the jungle. This temple is heavily overgrown with vegetation, trees, lianas, and mosses. This temple is surrounded by a rainforest due to it being abundant for over 300 years. When it is not fully restored, many local and international tourists fall in love with the area.
  • Kampong Phluk Floating Village - Continue to Tonle Sap lake, known for its picturesque floating villages. We enjoy a boat ride and observe the local life in the villages with their floating farms, schools, markets, and Buddhist temples.

Note: Tonle Sap Lake and Floating Village are best visited from July to February.

  • Siem Reap - Transfer from Tonle Sap lake to the hotel in Siem Reap city.

Additional Information

Embark on a comprehensive day-long expedition to Kulen Mountain, Beng Mealea, and Tonle Sap lake showcasing gorgeous waterfalls, an enormous reclining Buddha statue, a river with a thousand Lingas, a jungle temple, and a boat journey to a floating village on the biggest lake in Southeast Asia. Experience this private tour that encompasses natural splendors, historic temples, and traditional stilt-house villages…a multitude of diverse and incredible sights and experiences packed into a single day, facilitated by an excellent tour guide.

  • The end of March to the end of June is a crucial time in all the floating villages in Siem Reap, as the water levels start to recede and present a unique opportunity for tourists to experience a new perspective. Although the picturesque landscape of the floating community may lose some of its charm during this time, visitors have a chance to immerse themselves in the daily life of the villagers living in the dried season. While some boats may become stuck, and smaller canoes are unable to traverse the jungle forest, these challenges add to the thrill of the experience. The dry season in floating village of Kompong Phluk may not be the ideal time to visit for those seeking postcard-perfect photos, but it offers a chance to witness a facet of the village’s daily life that is not typically seen. As they say, when life gives you lemons, make lemonade. We recommend visitors to embrace this rare chance to witness a different facet of this incredible destination and truly get a different taste of life in the village.

  • What should to bring: Insect repellent, sunscreen, sun hat.
  • For lunch, there is a vegetarian option like fried rice vegetable with eggs and fried spring rolls, but no vegan option.

Fantastic tour with a little bit of everything - The tour includes a stop at a cupcake bakery (included!), the resting Buddha temple, a viewpoint, the waterfall with picknick and bathing, a temple ruin and a boat trip. What more could you possibly want? Our guide David was very nice always had great, funny and sad stories to tell both from the present and distant past. I really enjoyed this tour. Don't forget to bring your Angkor What pass to not pay extra at the temple.

A concentration of emotions - With great professionalism our guide Mony and his fellow driver assisted us throughout the tour, Mony organized a super lunch for us after swimming at the waterfalls, first we visited the temple of the reclining Buddha and finally the stilt village on Tonle lake Wis. Unfortunately the water had receded but the guide still made us live an unforgettable experience. Highly recommended

Mountains, culture, temples - This trip was brilliant, especially if you don’t have a lot of time to see everything in Siem Reap as you got to see the mountains, culture, learn about traditions and beliefs and experience the Cambodian way of life. Our tour guide, Mony was awesome! Knowledgable, informative and fun! Highly recommend!!!

Favourite tour in Siem Reap - This was my favourite tour in Siem Reap. Mr Sareik was extremely knowledgeable. The views from Kulen mountain were spectacular. Lunch on our private deck overlooking the waterfall was really special and the food was delicious. Beng Mealea was beautiful and so peaceful. Tonle sap was eye opening, it's a whole other world out there. It's a long day but it's never boring. The only criticism is the bus was a little uncomfortable but that's a small negative for an amazing experience.

He showed beautiful scenery, Beng Mealea with the reclining Buddha, where he told us a lot about Buddhism, the Tonle Sap villages and a lot more. Something for everyone - It was a long day in the car and the car was bumpy and loud BUT it was a very cool day! The guide was knowledgeable and shared history and stories from his own life. The picnic at the waterfall was beautiful. This tour was a great balance of Instagram-able moments (if that's your thing) and immersion into the culture. Our group all leaned toward the latter and our guide adapted to that and gave us what we wanted! Thank you for the wonderful day!

Good day out - Picnic at the waterfall was amazing. Covered a lot of ground so time spent in the bus is substantial.
