- Phnom Kulen Waterfall - Kulen Mountain, meaning “Lychee Mountain,” is located approximately 60km north of Angkor Wat and is one of Cambodia’s most sacred sites. The Siem Reap River, vital to the Angkor Empire, originates here, and visitors can still observe the ancient fertility symbols carved into the riverbed to ensure ongoing prosperity. Holy men study here, and ascetic hermits reside in ancient pagodas. Kulen is where the Devaraja cult began, transforming Khmer rulers into deities. Pilgrimages continue to the mountain, where visitors can swim in the pristine, cool waters and admire the carvings, with butterflies fluttering into the surrounding lush jungle. Kulen Mountain also features the Reclining Buddha monument, a colossal statue carved from the mountain’s summit in the 16th century. During the Indochina War, bombs fell around the Buddha, yet the statue remained unharmed. It is now a favored spot for Khmer picnics.
- 1000 Lingas - Enjoy swimming at the waterfall, exploring the tropical jungle, trekking to the River of 1000 Lingas, and savoring a picnic lunch with refreshing cold drinks and meals.
- Banteay Srei - After returning from Kulen Waterfall, there will be a stop to visit the stunning Yellow Pink Stone temple, provided an Angkor Pass is available. Please note that the Banteay Srei temple is included with the Angkor Pass.
The return to the hotel is scheduled for around 1:00 PM.
