Join us on our Cambridge LGBTQ+ Visionaries Walking Tour! On this tour around Cambridge, we will learn about the many ‘firsts’ in LGBTQ+ organizing and the LGBTQ+ rights movement by visiting historic sites and exploring the stories of activists that paved the way before us.

Along this tour, you’ll see where the first same-sex marriages in the country took place, learn about a Black feminist organizing collective, visit the location where the earliest women and queer studies courses occurred, and hear about advocacy for LGBTQ+ students in public schools. Sites include Cambridge City Hall, the Cambridge Public Library, Cambridge Rindge & Latin School, Harvard Square, and more.

We will meet outside the front of Cambridge City Hall (795 Massachusetts Avenue) by the rainbow benches. You’ll see them before the stairs that lead to the main entrance.
