Take a comfortable seat, unwind and take in the sights from your own private punt. You’ll embark on a private punt tour, serviced by your personal chauffeur, designed to accommodate up to 12 individuals. The journey, lasting around 50 minutes, traverses the college ‘Backs’. As you punt, your chauffeur will deliver captivating and educational commentary. During the journey, you’ll encounter renowned landmarks like Kings College Chapel, The Bridge of Sighs, The Wren Library, New Court St Johns and the Mathematical Bridge.

Punting offers a serene opportunity to explore the seven Cambridge University colleges, each rich in captivating lore, as well as the regal Kings College chapel. The chapel serves as an unforgettable emblem for one of the globe’s most esteemed academic establishments.

COVID-19 - Current regulations recommend groups to restrict to a maximum of 6, unless all members belong to the same household. The boats are equipped with perspex screens in keeping with social distancing regulations.

So fun! - This was definitely one of the highlights of our day in Cambridge. We loved the experience and my kids thought it was so cool. Everything we learned about the history of the town was fascinating.

An hours private trip on the river with a guide - We booked a private trip including drinks. Reception staff were helpful and kept us informed when we arrived. We had Sam as our punter and guide and he was brilliant. Fully interacted with us, excellent knowledge of the area and answered our numerous questions. He was very skilled at navigating his way through the plethora of novices on the river without any issues. He was a delight to share our experience with. Thanks to all at the team.

Private Couples Tour with Ginger James - We went on a private tour as a couple. Ginger James (he asked to be called that, not being rude) was a brilliant guide! Hilarious and very knowledgeable, it was great and I'd definitely recommend anyone looking for an insightful but entertaining punt! Thank you again James!

Recommended! - The tour was about an hour long. Our punter, James, is very knowledgable and friendly. He was giving us fun facts about the buildings and Cambridge throughout the ride. He also managed to manoeuvre our way through the busy river without bumping into anyone. The location of the meeting place is at the furthest end, but that makes our tour a little longer! Overall our family had a good time and feel very welcomed. Definitely recommend this to anyone and their family!

Glorious! - We had a great time. We were early ahead of our schedule but they accommodated us the moment we asked. It was probably too hot for Edward, our captain as we call him, to paddle or steer but he was very patient and just talked to us about everything including football. We all have a wonderful time. I thought it a bit expensive but worth it otherwise. I will surely come back again.

Perfect hour on river - We have family & friends visiting. Punting is our top choice of activities. We are a group of 6 chosen Let’s Go Punting for a private river tour. They have very clear instruction for online booking, when to arrive and it’s easy to find. Everything was on time and nicely arranged. We were chauffeured by Noah last Wednesday. He’s polite, knowledgeable, cheerful and gave us an excellent introduction of the history of colleges with very interesting facts. Will definitely use Let’s Go Punting in future if we have visitors. And will request to have Noah to be our guide again.
