Amazing boat ride. - Boat was amazing. I was able to assist hoisting up the sail. Captain let me steer the boat, thankfully I did not stall out with his help. Drinks were good and we were blessed with perfect weather for sailing. Sadly one of deck hands become aggressive towards me and commented on my T-shirt which I proudly wore representing my grandmothers Jewish heritage. I still highly recommend this boat ride. Thank you captain and most of the crew for a wonderful afternoon on the water. Grateful.

Great day on the Appledore II !!! - We went on the Appledore II. The crew was great and includes us in hoisting the sails. The weather was perfect and the wind was enough to not need the engine. While out on Penobscot Bay the crew showed us points of interest and tpold us of the hiostorey of the few remaining schooners on the east coast. A really great time! I'd recommend to anyone!

Mainers doing tourist things - Had a great time! We were quite a mixed group age ranging from 9 to 60. The crew were knowledgeable and gentle, and fantastic at teaching the 9 y/o to steer. And they really do have the best Bloody Marys in the area

What a Grand Sailing Experience! - I am sorry that it took me a long time to get this review posted! Took the 2 hour Appledore sailboat trip out of Camden ME, on spur of the moment! What a grand sail it was! Crew was friendly and efficient! Views were wonderful! If you find yourself considering a sailing tour out of Camden Harbor, this is an excellent choice. I would like to repeat this experience again if ever in this location again! Thank you!

Historic fun sailing ship - Historic schooner, very well maintained. Fascinating insight into the life and work of nineteenth century mariners . Excellent views of Penobscot bay. The crew and captain were very nice and knowledgeable.

Pleasant day of cruising the bay - This cruise was exactly as promised and more. The crew was super knowledgeable about everything Maine and historical shipping and use of these types of ship. They were also good bartenders, bonus.

Day Sale - Took the "short morning cruise". Beautiful way to see the coast line. Friendly crew and gave us lots of local information and history. Would recommend as a way to see the bay. Did not try any of the optional drinks, however. Too early in the day. They will take your pictures, if you wish. If you take the cruise, be sure to ask questions. Did not realize the hauling of granite was such a big business in early US history and so rough on the ships. Be sure to ask about parking. It is HARD to find. We "donated" $20 to the city coffers, as we missed the "2 HOUR PARKING" sign up town. A delivery truck blocked the sign and we did not see it. Police department had no sense of humor, either.

A Schooner experience - It was a positive experience. The captain and crew are knowledgable and interesed in sharing ship lore and info about sailboats and history of the town. Since the captain needed to steer the schooner it would help if he had a microphone as it was difficult to always hear due to the wind. It was chilly so the crew provided blankets if needed. The captain and mates are friendly and engaged passengers in conversation.
