Wonderful VIP Tour for the family, day trip from Phoenix. - We did the VIP tour and it was absolutely worth it. What a unique experience and memory maker for our whole family, including our kids (9 and 11). Cassidy was a wonderful guide - very kind and knowledgeable. Getting up close and watching most of the animals eat and interact was truly amazing. Took the day trip from Phoenix and we are so glad we did! Highly recommend!

Great experience - Was a great experience. Seeing animals in their wild state and not caged was awesome. And the shuttle drivers were also great.

Great experiences with many species - Predator feed and the Safari were really great. I was able to get closeup photos of the animals before and after their feeding and the animals on safari were pretty close to the bus.

Trip with grandchild - Went with our 11 year old granddaughter. The animals were awesome and the staff are extremely knowledgeable. We would definitely do again. Just be prepared for the heat in the summer.

Worth the ticket to see happy animals - This park exceed my expectations by far - starting with the accountant who picked up the phone to answer our questions the day before. On the general admission, we got to hand feed a giraffe, observe two bears wrestling about 20 feet away, observe lions and tigers and wolves (and boars!), and take in a porcupine show before catching the shuttle back to the entrance. This place has a conscience and keeps yours clear while you get to check out some exotic animals - all the enclosures are spacious and include amenities that seem to make the animals content. It was hot, so we didn’t stick around for the predator feed, but I wish we could have b/c I bet it was amazing. This is worth the visit, especially with kids - while our tickets got us what we came for, we also observed enough of the VIP experience from afar to make me think the upgrade is worth it too. Well done!

Actually see animals up close. KIDS WILL LOVE THIS - FAMILY? KIDS? YES!!!!! Bring your kids!!! How many times as a parent do you go to a zoo and the animals are lethargic, cramped in a cage, and the zoo is more abut selling merchandise, than the experience of what YOUR KIDS want to see. Lets be real, even as an adult, we want to truly see more. Well, Out of Africa blew me away with the tour. The place is simple. The wildlife park is very vast, and allows the animals to really roam. I wondered by this, if the animals would hide, and be a bummer to not see much. Not the case. It is as if the animals want the attention. And with frequent visits by trainers, and staff, these animals seem to want the interaction. I must say, I was amazed when the Rhino handler called the rhino by name, like calling a dog, and this huge magnificent animal came to play. You can read the activities here and make your own plan. I am writing to give the comfort to parent, this park will be a thrill for your family. The owner, I believe she said her name was Prarrie, is out and about and I could see how much she cares. This is not a corporate, money making amusement park. This is a beautiful sanctuary for a variety of animals that love the trainers. The mountain lion literally was purring as we were with the handler by the fence. My daughter is an animal sketch artist ( Grace Olivia animal artist ) and she was able to capture so many close photos. Thinking about going, well just go. You will love Out of Africa

Interesting - Less than expected considering the cost of the tickets for the 1 hour super mog adventure for our group of 8 (4 kids and 4 adults). Lots of animals we didn't get to see even though we arrived at opening since it was going to be so hot, but most of the smaller animals were visible. The grand girls did have fun getting to feed the giraffes and getting a 'kiss' in the process. Seeing some of the other animals up close was great (lions, tigers, water buffalo, etc) and we learned a lot from our guide. But there is no place to get out of the heat. Although they serve food there, I would recommend leaving for a restaurant nearby and then coming back if you are making a day of it. They do provide misters at the shuttle stops, but when we first inquired about buying cold bottled water since the vending machine was broken, they didn't have any; luckily an hour later they did. Plenty of parking and restrooms but there is no place to fill a re-useable water canteen.

OK Experience - This park is definitely a bit underwhelming compared to some of the zoos or comparable parks I have been to in my life. It's clear to me that the staff here are very passionate about their work and care about the animals. However, the facilities definitely feel a bit run down. The park is about an hour and a half away from Phoenix, so if you're in the area it could be something to do, but I don't think it's worth coming solely for this park, unless you have young kids. Parking is super easy, and getting tickets wasn't too difficult overall. The shows were fun, but a bit short, I still think you can have a good time here, just don't expect anything you haven't seen before.
