This boutique vineyard is located 65 km from the Capital. Casa Gamboa hosts 5 hectares of vine production, and it’s equipped with a wine cellar and a countryside restaurant. They grow Malbec, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Franc varietals.

At Casa Gamboa, we bring you back to the rural roots of Buenos Aires’ countryside. This place evokes memories of late 19th-century Spanish and Italian immigrants who planted the first vines in the region.

Additional Information

When discussing wines from Argentina, the immediate association is often with the province of Mendoza and its surrounding Andean areas. However, the province of Buenos Aires also boasts numerous commendable wineries in close proximity to the metropolis.\n\nCasa Gamboa stands as a robust winery perched atop the serene expanse of the pampas region. Nestled near the town of Campana, the property and its vineyard bask amidst gentle, moist hills and spans of evergreens under the expansive azure sky.\n\nCasa Gamboa offers an authentic throwback to the pastoral ambiance of the Buenos Aires countryside, reminiscent of the times when Spanish and Italian settlers first introduced viticulture to the area in the late 1800s.\n\nYour visit commences with an escorted exploration of the grounds and an insight into the wine production rituals. This experience is augmented by a selection of wines paired judiciously with appetizers, and is capped off by a four-course degustation lunch. The sumptuous menu features an appetizer platter, a main course with a variety of side dishes, and a concluding dessert. Beverages including wine, coffee, and water round out the dining experience.

Beautiful day away from the city - This was a lovely day trip from Buenos Aires. Our driver was sweet and knowledgeable about the area and the vineyard was a cute boutique bodega. The meal we were served for lunch was probably our best of the week! And the wine was delicious. My only advice, other than booking the us trip, is to bring mosquito repellent.

Malbec at its best - The visit in the vineyard followed by the wine tasting in the cellar, with 3 hour lunch with wine was great. Wish it hadn’t been so hot.

Wonderful Winery Day Trip! - This wonderful day trip outside of Buenos Aires exceeded our expectations in all ways! First, our host, Aro, and driver, Raphael, picked us up at our hotel. Aro explained the Gamboa winery story and all about this wine region beyond BA. When we arrived at Gamboa we were warmly welcomed with samples of wine! We were then led outside for a tour of a couple vineyards. Gorgeous setting! Great explanations in Spanish and English. Next, we had an exceptional wine and food paired tasting in the beautiful wine cave! There’s more: A delicious 4 course lunch followed—with plenty of wine flowing—on the gorgeous covered patio of the winery with views of the vineyard. Service was so friendly and professional. We highly recommend this experience!

Absolutely recommend! Fantastic time! - This was one of the best tours I've had. Elaine picked me up at my hotel and was a fantastic driver and guide for the day. We had a nice 1 hour drive to the vineyard and were greeted with a cold glass of brut, then we took a 1 hour tour with the rest of the guests that arrived. After the vineyard tour, we went into the wine cellar to taste 3 more wines. The tour guide was so informative and kind. We finished by going up to the dining area for a 4 course lunch with a 5th wine to try. Everything about the day was fantastic. 100% recommended!!!

Private car, wonderful wine & lunch - We thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Elaine picked us up in a private car and drove us an hour north to the winery. We joined others at the winery for wine tasting and excellent regional dishes. Elaine was available if we had questions. She then drove us back to our apartment. It was a lovely afternoon and we would definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Buenos Aires.

A Fantastic Wine Tasting with Lunch - Tour included guide and driver. Arrived at Gamboa Winery outside of Buenos Aires. My wife enjoyed the tour of the vineyard followed by a tasting in the cellar. The winery accommodated my disability by providing me with an individual tasting on the veranda. Then there was a huge 5-7 course delicious lunch (I lost track of the courses).

Winery Tour - We had a wonderful driver, Alex, who was very informative and great driver. We had a tour guide, other than Alex, who was to meet at our hotel where we were being picked up. However she was late and no one knew she was to join us. We had to return to the hotel to pick her up but we’re really not sure why. She basically came along for the ride. And then of course we were late for the tour. The winery tour had 28 people with a guide who spoke both English and Spanish. With that big of a group it was hard to hear as well as she spoke very quickly. Would have skipped that part. However, the wine tasting and lunch were amazing! Would highly recommend that part.

No show, no warning, compensation = 3 X so so sorry! - We would have loved to give a review of this tour but our tour guide and driver never showed up. We booked three (3) months in advance for this tour on our last day in Buenos Aires. Our pick-up time was 10:00 am. Waiting outside our hotel, at 10:15 I called the company who simply said sorry, the tour was cancelled, not our fault it is the winery's fault, so, so sorry! Then tried to sell us a wine tasting at a restaurant at 4PM leaving us with nothing to do all day. And ... still don't have my $617 reimbursement. Save your money and stress and book with a dependable tour company.
