Must see in Campeche - Lovely ruins that leave you stunned by how well preserved they are. You can hire a tourist guide but they charge dearly. And you can still climb some of the ruins to take great pictures

Berenice Brings Edzna to Life So You Can Really See It and Understand It! - Berenice was one of the best guides we have ever had. She was knowledgeable and had a flare for building an understanding of the Maya at Edzna as we progressed through the site. She really brought the site to life and demonstrated a depth of understanding that is rare. Her passion and excitement about Edzna and Mayan culture is apparent throughout and you can't help but share her enthusiasm as the tour progresses. She personalizes the experience and gets you to imagine living at the time. She also provides a great sense of context. Besides her knowledge and passion, we also have to say that she was just a delightful and thoughtful person. We are older travellers (75+) and she was always aware of our physical limitations without us having to say anything. She simply observed and responded. Above and beyond the tour, we discussed restaurants in Campeche and she dropped us off at one of them, which turned out to be just extraordinary. We also discussed other sites worth visiting. If we are back in Campeche again, Berenice and Chelita Travel would be our choice for another tour. We can't possible recommend them too highly.

A Must Do while in Campeche! - So much fun! A must do while in Campeche! Our guide was so informative and answered all our questions and posed us questions as well. She made it so incredibly fun. On the way back to Campeche she took us on a little drive through the city and showed us different parts that we would have totally missed if we were on our own. Very nice and would absolutely do it all over again if we have the chance to come back down. Thank you!

Wonderful Tour - We have visited several archeological sites in Mexico, but Edzná was a standout, spectacular but uncrowded. Berenice was certainly the most knowledgeable and experienced tour guide we ever had. Her explanations were clear and very interesting, and she was able to answer any questions. We were both very pleased with her tour and recommend her highly.

Our guide is the best - This was an excellent tour, perhaps the best we have ever been on all due to our wonderful guide Berenice. She was not only knowledgeable but passionate about sharing the Mayan experience with us. We felt as if we experienced a little bit of life in the Mayan civilization from long ago. It was a magical tour, just perfect for a half of a day. We will remember Edzna and Berenice always!

Amazing - It is an incredible place, my family and I went without much expectation and we got a big surprise from the place, it is big and very well maintained, they still let you go up to most of the ruins and the explanation on the signs is quite extensive, In the same way there are people who can guide you and give you more information about the place.

Amazing experience! - We absolutely LOVED touring Edzna with Berenice! We actually booked 3 separate tours, all with Berenice, so you'll be seeing my review pop up on those ones too. Berenice was so knowledgeable, and also, showed us such an interesting surprise pathway through Edzna. I genuinely don't understand why the other review is only 3 stars. I highly recommend emailing Berenice or the company directly, you should be bale to find them on Google, and seeing what some of the other tour options are! We also did a tour of the Camino Real/ Artisan Road, as well as the tour of Campeche's walled city. All the tours were totally private and Berenice showed us so many hidden gems that we wouldn't have known about if it weren't for her. Already thinking about our next visit and we've told so many friends about our wonderful experience!

Custom, private tours show you all the best - The communication with Berenice started the moment our plane landed in Campeche. She’s really on the ball with getting things scheduled and letting us know our guides names and pick up times in advance. Our guide for Edzna was Jose, who picked us up from our hotel promptly at 8am. On the way he learned we wanted to try the local foods so he stopped at a little place and we got panuchos. Then we continued on to Edzna, where he gave a very good, informative tour of the site. There were maybe 8 other people in the entire complex, but what they lacked in numbers of people, they made up for in numbers of iguanas, birds, and butterflies. I found it quite charming. Since this is a private tour, we had asked if it was possible to go to Hochob, a rarely visited but stunning temple. Jose took us there and was knowledgeable about this beautiful site that really shouldn’t be missed. There were no other people at all and it was as peaceful as it was beautiful. On a separate day we had asked if they would take us to Miguel Colorado to go zip lining, kayaking, and swimming in the Azul Cenote. They were kind enough to create this tour for us and we had a lovely day with additional birdwatching, hiking, and eating at the restaurant of a nearby resident as well. Wilberth was our guide and he really knew his birds. It was a very enjoyable day. I highly recommend you enquire about adding on custom items or having them do a custom tour. The people at this tour company are nice, knowledgeable, and will do their best to show you their wonderful area.
