Highlights
  • Amantikir Park - The Amantikir Park, or Amantikir Gardens, is an urban park composed of a set of gardens and various points of interest. In addition to the 26 gardens in the park, the points of interest include: Zen Courtyard, Torii, Meda, Chinese Dragon, Moon Gate, Mandala, Pottery, Lookout, Wood, Vegetable Garden, Large Pots, Tent, Frame, and a Treehouse. All these spaces feature various architectural references.
  • Romantik Dalen - The Romantic Valley is a park in the city center, with free admission, featuring a bridge decorated with umbrellas. The bridge was inspired by the Pont des Arts in Paris, and today it has padlocks to seal the love of couples. The site also has a chapel, inspired by those in Las Vegas, where vow renewals take place. At the end of the boardwalk, you’ll find a covered area with several clothing and souvenir shops.
  • Vila Capivari - Capivari Village is the heart of Campos do Jordão, the tourist center of the city with beautiful European architecture, shops, restaurants… Capivari alone is worth the trip to Campos do Jordão. The boardwalk of Av. Macedo Soares and Capivari Square are the busiest points in the village; strolling around there during the day or at night is very pleasant.
  • Ducha de Prata - The Ducha de Prata is part of the circuit of traditional tours in Campos do Jordão. It consists of a sequence of artificial waterfalls that can be admired from various angles through wooden walkways. The showers were built from the damming of the waters of the Perdizes stream. The site receives many visitors interested in listening to the relaxing sound of water and taking photos — there is a walkway covered by colorful umbrellas and giant heart-shaped frames just for this purpose.
  • Itapeva Peak - The Pico do Itapeva Park is a charming place that features a lookout point where you can see several cities of the Paraíba Valley, including, on days of greater visibility, the famous city of Aparecida do Norte. In the park, you can walk amidst a garden of French lavenders that surrounds the lookout point. There are about 2,000 seedlings that complement the landscape of the area. In the midst of the lookout, a small castle has been built where you can enjoy a cup of coffee or a freshly made hot chocolate.
  • Campos Do Jordao - The Cacau Show in Campos do Jordão is one of the most interesting chocolate shops. Besides being quite large, in a two-story building featuings a 40 m² mock-up of the city made 80% of chocolate and a shelf with good discounts.

Great way to see São Paulo Highlights - Great way to maximize time during a layover in São Paulo. My guide was Mauro and he was great. I felt like I was his guest as hosted me for the day. Highly recommend the tour!

A solo day in Campos - I had a great time with Pedro who went out of his way to make sure I had a nice time. He knew a lot about the area and was extremely engaging. I’m not sure I’d recommend campos do Jordão as a destination unless you have a lot of time in São Paulo or are travelling with young children who would enjoy some of the amusement parks. The town itself felt very touristy and I learned that it’s a place for Sao Pauloans to escape from the city, which makes sense after seeing it. That being said, it was a very pretty drive, I enjoyed the great dining options and funicular. I wanted to escape the city and that’s what I did. I would definitely use upper tours again, but not sure I’d put campos to the top of my list to see again.
