Mekong day trip - What a fantastic day! Nut , our guide was very informative and fun. At 77yrs young he had many wonderful stories and knowledge that kept us intrigued throughout the day. The day is long and action packed and a highlight our trip so far. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend.

A magical day on the delta - We had a fantastic day with Mr Le (Nick). He was super informative and friendly and we saw so many interesting things including a pagoda in the delta that was built and used by the Khymer people- it was breathtaking! We couldn't have asked for a more packed, more wonderful day! What made it was the people. When I stupidly dropped my phone into the delta, Mr Le organised for a local man to dive in an find it- he did and it was completely unharmed! I cant believe they did that, it was unbelievably kind! Would absolutely reccomend this tour to anyone!

fully packed great day! - A very long day, but we fit in so many adventures. Our guide, Mr. Le, was funny, knowledgeable and energetic and made the trip great. His life experience (he is 76!) added to his understanding of Saigon and the delta over the years, and provided extra insights. From the morning at the floating market in Cai Rang, to the fruit orchard, the gorgeous Khmer pagoda, and then on to the family coconut business, it was all amazing. Three boat rides in one day, lots of interactions with locals, and water and air conditioning at every van interval. We would definitely choose this tour again, especially if he is our guide. I would add that this might not be the right tour for anyone not comfortable in small boats.

Worth It - Nick was an excellent host and guide, very passionate about his country. We read that the other floating markets were much quieter and we wanted a more real experience. This was it at Cai Rang. Had to get up very early but we could not find anyone else who offered this tour so I recommend this. You need to go early so you see the floating market at it's best. There was plenty more to do and see on the very full-day tour. Recommended.

Mekong Version, John Hughes P.T & A.- Minivan, Boats (small and large wooden, hand and motor powered) and Bikes too - Action packed, eye opening, masterfully crafted edutainment experience. Our experience started from our timely pick up at 4am from District 1 hotel in HCMC. Although an early start, we enjoyed the drive across the water influenced landscape into the wilds. Our driver was skilled at navigating the teeming swarms of motorbikes, buses and even a cart being pulled by bicycle. Be prepared to understand how the economy swarms in Vietnam based on the traffic. At times, one feels concerned for the passengers all around but our driver made us feel safe and comfortable to doze off with his skills. Our guide, Uncle, Le Duy Nhurt, was passionate, warm and caring. He spent hours explaining not only landscapes, cultural, political both prewar and post war, but even the random questions related to names of plants. To have such a seasoned, well studied and factoid driven tour was a pure joy and one couldn't help to feel we indeed saw the real Mekong Delta! Uncle was able to explain the history, religion, details of a profound number of nuanced concepts in a manner that suggest pure love of one's country. I could write many words about the actual sites visited (they take you on the less traveled roads) but those are in the description of the tour, instead, I say without hesitation, buy this tour, support the small local tour guides (only three people and felt customized) such as these. Keep it local, keep it small and get it done in one day!!

Comprehensive, well organized tour - It’s a long day at around 15 hrs - but you get to cram 2 days worth of tour into one. The itinerary has a lot of elements and moving parts and each was coordinated to perfection. Our guide was great, and I felt a personal touch on everything as we did our best to beat the crowds most places. Great experience and fully recommend it.

Cai Rang and Ben Tre 1d tour fm HCMC - Many thanks for a wonderful time to: Kim Tran Travel and LE DUY NHUT / Guide TRAN VAN QUANG / Driver. Some reviews cited poor road conditions to Can Tho so I had some reservation leaving at 4am. Driver was great and arrived on time. Other than a bumpy ride the 3 1/4hr drive to/from was fine and we arrived without incident. If your looking for a 1 day tour with small group (there were 2 of us), and a packed day of adventure then I would highly recommend this tour. We toured a local market on land, had breakfast on the river, toured the Cai Rang floating market in Can Tho, went for a boat ride up the river to visit a fruit farm, drove to Ben Tre thru beautiful countryside, river boat cruise through the forest, bicycle ride through the countryside, wonderful lunch in a forest restaurant surrounded by palm trees, saw carpet weaving, visited a small coconut factory and brick factory and went on another extended boat ride on the river before returning to HCM City. Nick was a great host who was very passionate about his job. Thx

Day on the Delta - I had travelled previously to this region however my travelling companion had not seen the Delta so this trip appeared to offer a great one day overview of the region for a first time visitor. The advertised pick up time was 0400 however the guide arrived at 0335 - was already in the lobby and the guide kept asking about the second guest. He did turn up at 0345 at which time we departed still early. Our guide Nuc was best described as over bearing - he had a very loud voice when delivering the information to the pair of us who were the only guests and we were very pleased when he said he would remain quiet until our first scheduled stop at 0600. This was the case and we were allowed off the bus for a toilet break but were advised not to shop as breakfast would be provided at the Floating Market, some time away. after much tooing and froing, I insisted that I would buy us each a Bahn Mi for breakfast given that at this point nothing had been offered in the way of sustenance by Nuc. Back on the bus and down to Can Tho for a visit to the land market - both Chris and I had already seen many markets in Vietnam as we were participating in a group cycling tour from north to south - I did point out after a little time that this was indeed my third trip to Vietnam and felt that the delivery of the information was rather like addressing school children. I needed another toilet break so I told Nuc that was where I was headed and did so. When I came out of the toilet, Nuc was paying however I told him I already had so there was no need. This led to a bitter confrontation which carried on for some time with me suggesting that perhaps I should get a cab back to Saigon - he made both of us very uncomfortable. Whilst eventually he moved on, we felt that this was going to be a very long and uncomfortable day so we concocted an excuse to get back early to shorten the very long day. There were some highlights on the trip but the guide made it all very difficult. We had paid very good money for the trip and were very disappointed with this outcome.
