Great Value - This was our first time to this beautiful part of Eastern Canada. The fall colors weren't in full display, but we still thoroughly enjoyed this tour. Cape Breton is a beautiful area.

Great! - Wonderful trip! Our guide was exceptional, fun and knowledgeable. She made the tour individualized, made extra stops at our request and still had us back in plenty of time for boarding our ship.

Worth the drive - Tom was an excellent guide. He did his best to accommodate the change in departure time (earlier) of our cruise. He was fairly informative. It was worth the drive to see the Cabot trail and the fall colours.

Pretty Scenery - Our ship arrived in port late but we were still able to see a portion of the Cabot Trail. We enjoyed it but the tour guide was very hard to understand as English was not her first language. She was unable to answer most of the questions that were asked as she was young and not very experienced.

Could have been so much better - We were really looking forward to this tour to get to see the colors of the countryside, and that part of this tour did not disappoint. The biggest problem we had was with the companies communication telling us. It’s very important that you get off the ship as soon as it docks and that the tour would begin exactly 30 minutes afterwards. We along with everybody else got several text messages and emails making sure that we were out there on time. Everyone was out there on time, but there was no bus. There was a representative from the company. His name was William and he was very nice and we know it was not his fault. But when the company keeps stressing, you have to be there on time you would think they’d put forth a little bit more effort to get there on time. The bus was about an hour late coming. when it got there it was an old bus very noisy did not have any cupholders and no suspension. The general manager showed up before we left and apologized, which was nice of him, but I would still be leery of this company going forward. We had a very nice tour guide. Her name was Patricia Sutherland and she was wonderful. I certainly hope that the company treats her well. She could’ve done so much better if she had had a better sound system on the bus. It was like an antique microphone that she had to speak into. Like I said it was an old rattling bus that came. I think they said that it had been in the shop getting the alternator repaired which again made us a little nervous when we got on the bus. But they did get us back on time. To compensate for all the problems that we had waiting for them to come and wondering if they were going to come the company paid for all of us to have a scoop of soft ice cream on the way back to the ship. It was very yummy ice cream.

Somewhat disappointed - We expected more than two beaches and a closed hotel during our five hours. The van was also difficult to get in and out of and the seatbelts did not work that well. It was not inexpensive.

Time restraints cause an average experience. - This was a journey that we did while we were on a cruise of the New England area. This was not a great experience, but was not a bad experience either. First off, our cruise ship was almost 3 hours late iin docking due to problems with departure from the previous port, and rough sailing in the night. Secondly, we were in a rented bus with 14 other guests. This takes time to board and unload. The bus was older and worn out with creaks and groans from the rig. The suspension was shot so that every bump, crack, and pothole was exaggerated. The worst part was the time factor. We did not get to accomplish all of the journey due to the time frame. We were late arriving, so the tour was cut short. The driver was good, and returned us to port timely. The best part was our tour guide, who was very knowledgeable about the tour and countryside. She was a native and somewhat older which was perfect because she knew a lot of history and culture having grown up there. Overall the tour was average. I would recommend this tour if you are not on a time frame (such as a cruise with definite return time)

Cabot trail poor start - The scenery and guide were great. The bus and driver were one hour late picking us up which made for a shorter excursion because we had to be back for the ship. It was a good thing that it didn’t rain anymore than it did because the wipers didn’t work so the driver couldn’t clear the windshield. The rating will be e same from most of the passengers. He tried to make up for it with an ice cream cone.
