  • This tour is not recommended for young children: The Wildlife Tour is typically geared more towards adults, providing educational commentary along the way. While wildlife sightings are frequent, the experience differs significantly from a zoo visit. Due to the unpredictable nature of wild animals, sightings occur intermittently during the 3-hour tour and vary from day to day. Based on our observations, young children often become restless as there are no scheduled stops on this vehicle-based tour. Therefore, we recommend a minimum age of 5 years. Although not recommended, children and infants under 5 years old are welcome, provided a seat is purchased for them at the child rate (all passengers regardless of age are required to be allocated a seat on the bus). For those bringing infants, we recommend bringing a baby carrier which can be secured with the provided seat belts on our buses.

A must do wildlife tour in Jasper - My boyfriend and I joined a morning wildlife tour with Sam and highly recommend it. Sam was highly knowledgeable, friendly, and helpful. On the tour, we saw a spectacular bull elk grazing on the side of the road a few meters from the tour bus, and other female elk and deer. Sam gave us some great recommendations for places to go on our own looking for wildlife. From his recommendations, we saw multiple black bears, including two females with cubs.

A Great Trip - Our tour guide, Jake, was excellent - he knew so much about the area and all that we saw. We were collected promptly and as we drove down to pick up the other members of our party we saw deer. Jake had had a report of a bear feasting on a dead deer and was able to pinpoint the area and take us. Jake was also concerned about cyclists in the area, warning them that there was a bear with its prey. We later saw coyote pups (very cute), longhorn sheep and elk. The time went too quickly and we absolutely loved the whole experience. We would highly recommend the wildlife trip.

We were very lucky and spotted almost everything on the list - we saw a grizzly, a black bear, bighorn sheep, Osprey, bald eagles at their nest with their eaglets and flying about, a big bull elk, a mother and baby coyotes at their den. The trip couldn't have been better and our guide Jamie was fantastic at ensuring we got the most out of the trip and was very knowledgeable.

Brilliant morning wildlife tour - We had the most amazing wildlife tour with Sam. He was so knowledgeable about all of the local animals (and more!) and really determined to find them - we saw elk, sheep and 3 grizzly bears (one cub!). Would definitely recommend this trip to anyone visiting Jasper and wanting to spot wildlife and find out more about the local area. Pick up and drop off to our campground was a bonus!

Excellent wildlife tour with great guide - I booked an early morning wildlife tour online from the UK prior to coming out to Canada for our road trip around the Rockies. Booking was incredibly easy and straightforward and I received updates by email as the planned trip approached. We were due to be collected from our hotel at 8.30am and the tour minibus arrived spot on time. Our guide and driver Sam was fantastic. Incredibly knowledgeable, engaging and interesting. He took us to some locations we have never visited around Jasper before and found a huge variety of wildlife. If there wasn’t a particular animal in a particular place as he expected, Sam gave us tips as to when would be the best time to see them and where so we could re-visit later. We did this and were successful in seeing a pair of grizzly bears. We would highly recommend booking with Maligne.

1 Grizzly bear spotted made the trip - We were very lucky to see a Grizzly Bear cross the road in front of our vehicle. The guide told us that as she was driving we had to look out for the animals. We were taken for the first half of the tour on major roads and saw only sheep and a couple of elk.If it wasn’t for seeing the Grizzly Bear the trip would have been a huge disappointment. If you have your own car you are just as likely to see animals as you will on this trip ,except for the background information given about the animals.

no refund - I canceled it 2 days prior because I double booked tour at same time so it didn’t go through and I was charged for it anyway!
