A relaxing day - The staff were super nice and full of interesting information about the park, the animals, and the surrounding areas. We went during off season so it was pretty empty which was really good for us. The Trapiche presentation was really cool and the coffee and snacks were delicious. Lounging in the various hot pools was very relaxing. Food at lunch was delicious and alcoholic drinks were a good price. I wouldn't buy souvenirs here though, they're cheaper in town.

Thermal spa in the rainforest! - Great place to relax and enjoy the rainforest! The staff was super nice and helpfull, the ambiance was relaxing and cozy. The site is gorgeous, right in the middle of the rain forest near a volcano. We saw plenty of wild life just by sitting in the thermal baths! The food was amazing and everything was clean and safe.

I love it 🥰 - The water falls was amazing, the mud was incredible. The history about Costa Rica, the sugar cane, and CARAMELO THE 🐂 was the best part. The drinks , foods and the people who work there, the tour guides made this tour special and fenomenal. Thank you

Vandara Tour - The views are amazing, we took a lot of photos, all the staff were friendly and helpful, but the one who was undoubtedly the best was a waiter in the restaurant, very cheerful, charismatic

Vandara is an amazing experience - We had the best time at Vandara! The staff were so kind, the activities were organized and the facility was awesome. Part of our group did the explorer option and part did the nature pass. We spent HOURS in the hot springs, enjoying the nature. We also swam in the river and waterfall. It was so relaxing and the option of the swim up bar was so fun. We had lunch there which was delicious. One of my favorite parts was the cultural tour. Our guide was so knowledgeable and we learned about Costa Rican culture, coffee, sugarcane and the Ox. The people in our group who did explorer loved the zip line and waterside. They were great. Another nice thing about this place is my son, who is 6, was old enough to do everything, which is not true at every adventure park. There is a steep walk down to the hot springs/waterfall but it wasn’t terrible and my 80 year old grandma did it just fine. I HIGHLY reccomend this place for families!

Fun family experience. Staff was bilingual and helped me work on my conversational Spanish. - Beautiful views throughout the tour. We did the Zipline, horseback riding and the waterslide. The ziplines gave you a view of the canopy that included the mountains and volcano Rincon de la Vieja. We also learned the history of Gaunacaste and why the ox is so important to the culture. While learning about sugar cane and the making of rum, they taught us the toast: arriba, abajo, al centro, al dentro, salud!!! Word of caution: leaf cutter ants are industrious and interesting, but beware their bite, it feels like a fire ant bite without the lingering swelling and stinging.

Good excursion - The tour was great! Everything from the tour guides to the lunch that was provided. I would have given it a five star review but I have not received the pictures that I purchased of some of the activities I participated in. The gentleman said that a link would be sent to my email but I have yet to receive it. Other than that, I had a great time

Mud Bath gone wrong - The mud bath was not what was expected, in fact it’s not even a bath. It was a pot that everyone uses and spreads over their body it was water down. I would not suggest it.

BIG DISAPPOINTMENT - I was very disappointed. By far, the sorriest excuse for a hot springs i've ever encountered. We traveled over 2 hours for a hot springs, waterfall, and volcanic mud bath experience. We walked down to the "hot springs", but instead, there was a pool that was the same temperature as our pool at the condo. Maybe 70 F. Off to the side, we saw a side view of the waterfall, but certainly not the entire Wonderful.. We had no access to the water or the waterfall to experience it or quite frankly, even to get a good look at it. The volcanic mud bath? Seriously, the little paint brushes were a far cry from a mud bath. Shame on you. PAINTING yourself with liquified mud that just dripped right down your body and never dried because it was 90% water is hardly a mud bath. We planned on spending the day and spent barely an hour because it was not worth staying, even after we spent a $150. Why were we the ONLY ones there other than 2 tour buses. I guess the word is out that Vandara is not worth it, at any price. This was a waste of valuable time and money.
