Awesome!! - We had a fantastic time relaxing at Vandara Hot Springs. The pools were so warm, the waterfall was beautiful! We had fun with applying the mud and rinsing off in the showers. The nature was beautiful; we saw howlers, lizards, beautiful birds and tons of butterflies! We will be back!

An unforgettable experience - This was a great day of exploring on the short walk, learning on the cultural experience, eating good local food and relaxing in the thermal springs after washing mud off our bodies in the waterfall - an unforgettable experience!

Reasonably priced and great first experience on our trip to Costa Rica - The cost of the nature pass was right on. $65 per adult that includes the cultural experience, lunch, and the hotspring pools. The cultural experience was well done. I am very glad Vandara was the first excursion we made, primarily because of what we learned here. We got to meet Carmello (not sure I spelled that correctly), the massive pet bull. The gentleman who gave the presentation (I forgot his name, unfortunately) was proud of his country and loved sharing with us what Costa Rica has to offer. We spoke for a few minutes before the event while waiting on other guests to arrive and learned quite a bit about how Costa Rica regulates coffee production to enforce quality standards. He also showed us various coffee and cocoa beans (plucked them off the plants they have growing there) and explained what to look for in good Costa Rican coffee. He was very warm and welcoming. The presentation at the event was about 30 min, interesting, and interactive. They give us shots of fresh sugar cane juice and sugar cane liquor. We also tasted various types of Cast Rican pastries and sampled their coffee. Lunch is buffet style. The food was quite good. The hot spring pools is where we spent most of our time. The main pool is in the low-mid 90's on one end, and around 100°F where the hot spring water enters (closest to the bar). The small pool is somewhere around 103°F. Just past the small pool is the river with a waterfall. It is not cold water, but obviously much colder than the pools. I found it particularly refreshing. Hint: Walking along the cliff wall is the best way to get to the waterfall without tripping up. We spent about 6 hours at Vandara. The weather was somewhat overcast and there was a very light sprinkle from time to time. It was perfect. If you are the easy-going type, are looking for a relaxing day, or have smaller children, I highly recommend Vandara. Children under 5 get free entry!

So fun & beautiful! - This is a GREAT facility for an adventure! The guides are friendly and courteous and the park is just beautiful! I was sooooo excited to zipline in Costa Rica and it didn't disappoint!! And of course, who wouldn't want to sit in the river in the middle of a rain forest!?!

A place to chill out! - We had a fantastic time in Vandara! We did the Nature Pass, which was so relaxing. We waded thru the river to the waterfall, did the mud treatment, and rinsed in the river! The swim up bar in the thermal pools was a nice surprise. The food was great and the staff was very informative and gracious. Plus the place was not crowded! I highly recommend it!

Love Vandara. - Our second trip. So much fun. Enjoyed the cultural experience but the hot springs and waterfall and river and mud bath are the highlights. Could look at the river and waterfall all day. Mud bath makes me look so much younger. LOL!!

Great for Explorers, Not great for Nature Pass - We were with a large group on a conference and booked a group trip to Vandara. We were happy that there were two levels of involvement that our team could choose from. The Explorer Pass allowed for the adventures to be adventurous; however, those who chose the Nature Pass basically just sat around in a truck or in the lobby waiting for hours upon hours for the explorers to finish their experiences which was not the intent when bringing a large group. Overall, the explorers had a wonderful time but I would not recommend for a large group with different levels of activity as the nature pass goers were left sitting around with not much to do for 3-4 hours.
